Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 540

"Don't even think about it!" Vivienne rejected the demand instantly, her voice vicious and trembling with naked disgust.

"Jayden, you are crossing a massive line!" she spat, launching into a furious tirade. "I put up with the dinners. I put up with the bar. You couldn't keep your hands to yourself, taking advantage of the situation, and I swallowed it. I let it slide. But do not push your luck! You need to know when to stop. You don't get to trample my boundaries like this!"

Despite her explosive rage, Jayden didn't show a flicker of anger on the other end of the line. Instead, he leaned back into his sofa, completely relaxed, a cold, dominating smirk playing on his lips.

He knew Vivienne inside and out.

She loved to preach about her principles, but at her core, she was utterly ruthless and driven entirely by self-interest. If a move advanced her agenda, she would eventually submit to it. All this screaming, all this resistance—it was nothing but a theatrical display of dying pride.

Listening to her rant, Jayden felt like a spider watching a gorgeous, frantic prey thrashing in his web. She looked fierce, but her fate was entirely locked in his grasp. In the end, she would always surrender.

He let the silence stretch after she finally ran out of breath. "Done yelling? You don't have to put on this whole act. We both know you're going to say yes eventually. Who are you even performing for?"

"You..."

Before Vivienne could launch another attack, Jayden cut her off, driving straight to the kill. "I had a very productive chat with Smith today. If you want to know what was said, and how well it worked, you're going to have to come to the hotel to find out."
