Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 579

She gritted her teeth, steadying her trembling body, desperately comforting herself. WH was a phantom. She operated behind the scenes and never showed her face. No one could possibly know her true identity.

Furthermore, her fraud, theft, and disguise were flawless. Every trace had been wiped clean, buried so deeply that there was no trail left to follow. There was absolutely no way anyone could dig up the evidence.

With that thought, the panic in Vivienne's eyes vanished, replaced by an extreme, toxic aggression.

She snapped her gaze up, staring daggers at Willow. Straightening her spine, she feigned a blazing fury. "You're speaking absolute nonsense! This is a premier symposium filled with industry titans. What are you trying to pull by slandering me in front of everyone?"

The room quieted down a fraction. Everyone held their breath, eyes glued to the confrontation.

Vivienne pressed her attack, her tone a mix of aggrieved victimhood and sharp accusation. "Just because I pointed out the glaring holes and flaws in your data earlier, you're holding a grudge? So you decided to fabricate rumors to frame me? Someone with your vindictive mindset doesn't deserve to stand on this stage or work in research!"

Then, she pivoted to a personal attack. "I've seen plenty of narrow-minded, impatient people like you. When you lack the talent, produce mediocre results, and can't get any respect in the industry, you resort to cheap stunts. You try to smear top scholars just for a shred of attention. Well, unfortunately for you, you messed with the wrong person today. I won't let you get away with this."

Finally, she threw out a fatal counter-question, trying to corner Willow and flip the narrative. "You keep screaming that I'm not WH, but you have no proof. In science, we deal in evidence. Bring it out. If I'm not WH, then please, enlighten us—who is the real WH?"

The aggressive questioning hung in the air, plunging the room back into absolute silence.
