Three Years Later, He Came Back Begging novel Chapter 154

Aiken didn’t really have a magic solution. He tried to comfort her, said a few things that might help, then left to finish up the paperwork. Soon enough, the delivery guy came in, escorted by another officer. He was there to apologize to Bonnie.

The kid looked like he honestly regretted it. He couldn’t have been more than nineteen. Bonnie glanced at the report… the words “trash” and “pest” stood out, making it clear how much whoever was behind this despised her.

“I’m so sorry. I won’t ever do anything like this again. Please forgive me… I can’t get detained, my mom will freak out. I swear I’m not lying. Here, look—my phone has all the records. I buy medicine for my mom every month. It was just the money—I got blinded by that thousand bucks. Please, just give me another chance. Please don’t report me to the platform…”

Bonnie was quiet for a long time. She finally looked up at him—he was young, but his face was tanned and tired. She let out a quiet sigh in her heart.

“This time you delivered trash. What if next time they ask you to send something worse, for more money? Would you do it?”

He shook his head frantically. “No, really, I wouldn’t. I only did it because I thought it was just garbage. I’m really, really sorry…”

She saw the regret, the panic in his eyes—just the look of someone who hadn’t realized the consequences until it was way too late.

The girls who’d hurt her three years ago… They’d been about this age, impulsive, reckless. When they cried and apologized, they’d looked exactly like this guy.

Back then, Bonnie had been too numb to even hate them. Now, she realized, she still didn’t have it in her to hate.

“You’re Ralph, right? Nineteen years old.” He was the same age as her cousin Nash, but already working to support himself. Bonnie leaned down to sign the forgiveness statement. “Don’t do this kind of thing again. One day, someone won’t forgive you.”

Ralph’s voice trembled. He bent low in gratitude. Hesitating a little, he whispered, “I was scared to say before, but the person behind this said… If you don’t leave Cabinda… they’ll find another way to get rid of you.”

That stung. Bonnie’s eyes burned with anger. So much trouble, just to force her out.

Aiken gave her shoulder a reassuring pat, trying to help her calm down. He scolded Ralph a little, then made him pay a thousand in fines.
