Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 320

Clara's body violently shuddered; the skin where he touched her turned deathly cold.

She shoved him away in fierce resistance, on the verge of breaking down. She wasn't weak; she was just incredibly heartbroken.

"Don't touch me!"

"I'll grab a cab myself! Just stop following me!"

With that, she fled in a panic. In the freezing wind, her slender silhouette looked as fragile as a blade of grass, threatening to snap at any second.

Julian watched her receding figure from a distance. His brows knitted together, his expression an unpredictable tempest.

He didn't chase after her.

It was unclear whether he was actually respecting her wishes or holding back for some other reason...

With the passenger door still wide open, the little cat couldn't withstand the biting cold and began meowing pitifully at him.

Julian snapped back to reality. But instead of picking it up like he usually would, he callously slammed the door shut, completely cutting off its cries.

Just then, a ringtone abruptly shattered the silence.

It was Arthur Higgins calling.

Julian lit a cigarette, his face completely devoid of emotion as he answered with a curt, "Yeah."

"Mr. Lowell, regarding what you asked me to check with the project manager at that design firm—whether they had any private custom commissions available—I've got an update. The manager confirmed there is one project currently unassigned."

Julian narrowed his eyes and exhaled a thick plume of smoke. "Good. Tell the manager to hand that project over to Clara."

"Make sure they don't mention my involvement. Tell them to say they reviewed her portfolio and felt she was the perfect fit."

Arthur immediately agreed.

Hanging up the phone,

Julian finished his cigarette in absolute silence before getting into his car and speeding off.

His eyes burned with an undeniable, predatory resolve to reclaim Clara!

...

Meanwhile.

After fleeing, Clara took a moment to compose herself before catching a cab to her sister's house to pack some belongings.

Just as she suspected, Zane Sutton was completely dead drunk, passed out in the bedroom.

The sheer sight of him disgusted Clara. Holding her breath, she quickly gathered clothes from her sister's closet.
