Apex Design?
Clara knew of the company. While it wasn't quite on the same elite level as the studio she'd just joined, it was still an undeniable powerhouse in the industry.
Apex Design had actually scouted her?
The sudden, phenomenal news caught Clara completely off guard. She froze for a split second before stammering, "Yes, I'm definitely interested! I've actually been looking to take on some private commissions lately!"
"Excellent. Would you have some time this evening to meet up? I'd love to discuss the details of our collaboration."
"Yes, absolutely."
"Great. I'll be in touch with the details shortly."
"Thank you."
"..."
Hanging up the phone,
Clara was still reeling from the shock. Gripping her phone tightly, a thought struck her, and she hurriedly typed out a message to Leo Miller:
[Leo, a project manager from Apex Design just reached out to me about a private custom project!]
Leo wasn't busy at the moment and replied almost instantly:
[That's fantastic. You have immense talent, so it's completely normal for the big investors to take notice. Keep up the great work.]
Clara was practically vibrating with excitement. After all, this was her first time landing a high-end private commission. It was an entirely new milestone.
[I will. Thank you so much, Leo.]
Just then, the project manager texted back:
[Ms. Vance, let's meet at The Sterling Hotel at 6:00 PM tonight.]
Clara broke into a radiant smile as she typed:
[Perfect.]
Setting her phone aside,
Clara remained buzzing with pure joy.
After she finished packing and headed to the hospital, she immediately shared the amazing news with her sister.
Rosalie was incredibly proud of her and encouraged her to give it her all.
