Nova frowned. Just as she was about to shut her laptop, she heard his voice.

Nova didn't hear anything else, because he stepped out of the room to take the rest of the call.

She had no idea if he was coming back, nor did she have any intention of waiting up for him. She pulled the covers over herself and went to sleep.

Sitting up, she instinctively checked the space next to her. The sheets were completely smooth. No one had slept there.

That meant he had left to be with Yvette last night and never returned.

She didn't care. She got out of bed to answer the door, only to be surprised when Yasmin marched right in without waiting.

Seeing Nova, Yasmin aggressively rolled her eyes, making zero effort to hide her absolute disgust.

But a second later, she completely changed her demeanor, directing a bright smile toward the living room.

Maintaining a professional tone, she addressed him: "Mr. Forrester, I've brought your breakfast. You have a meeting at noon. Albia needs some of your influence for political and commercial leverage. We also need capital backing to push some of the new policies forward."

He took the reports from her hands, signed them, and she promptly left.

On her way out, she didn't even spare Nova a second glance.
