Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 139

From the moment Tristan made the promise to the actual reduction of the sentence, not even three days had passed.

Almost the second Justin finished speaking, Nova's phone buzzed with an official notification.

*Dear Ms. Clarke, please be advised that the fifteen-year sentence for your family member, Ian Clarke, has been commuted to two years and one month.*

From fifteen years down to two. She didn't have a law degree, but she knew this was mathematically and legally impossible under normal circumstances.

The only entity with the power to alter Ian's sentence so drastically was the government.

Which meant...

"Mrs. Forrester, the details are highly classified, so I can't say much. But Mr. Forrester paid an astronomical price for this. He hasn't slept in days. That stomach condition you spent so long helping him manage? It's flared up again."

She understood exactly what Justin was implying.

After hanging up, she hesitated for a moment before looking at Samuel. "Samuel... can you help me push back the start date for the program?"

He slammed on the brakes, whipping his head around to stare at her. "Why? Do you have any idea how precious this opportunity is?"

Of course she knew.

But...

She explained the miraculous sentence reduction. Being a seasoned executive, Samuel instantly deduced the terrifying scale of what Tristan must have sacrificed to make it happen.

But still...

"I'll talk to the professor tomorrow and get back to you," Samuel finally relented.

She nodded. "Drop me off at Clearwater Manor."

After watching her walk through the estate gates, Samuel immediately called Mathew Sherwin to explain the situation.

The professor didn't hesitate for a second. Slapping his desk, he ordered, "Absolutely not! You must get her out of the country and away from the Forresters immediately! If we delay this any longer, we won't be able to hide it! If she insists on staying, then tell her the truth!"

Samuel gripped the steering wheel tightly and nodded. "I'll figure something out..."
