Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 143

Without explaining herself, she reached for the door handle.

Samuel had no idea what she was doing, only that her expression was chillingly calm as she made a beeline back toward the hospital.

"What are you doing?" he demanded, grabbing her arm.

She looked at him with eyes utterly devoid of emotion. For a split second, he thought he was looking at Tristan.

She was so calm it bordered on apathy.

"I'm getting rid of it," she stated flatly.

He gripped her wrist tighter, completely blindsided by her ruthless composure.

"Nova, your body is in no condition for that. If you abort this baby now, you'll never be able to conceive again. When the doctors removed the other fetus, the procedure damaged your uterus. If you go through with an abortion now, the trauma will be immense. You might not even make it off the operating table."

He wasn't lying to her, and he pulled up her scan to prove it.

"This baby is fighting to survive, and in doing so, it's actually helping your body heal. It's not just a parasite feeding off you. We already have everything figured out. All you have to do right now is hide it from Tristan. Don't let him find out. Go abroad, have the baby, and come back."

Nova stared at the ultrasound. A tiny little shape, with little arms and legs...

In an instant, her eyes flooded with tears.

"During the crash," Samuel said softly, "the baby boy took the brunt of the impact. The one you're carrying now... it's a little girl."

She cried for a long time. Eventually, Samuel reminded her that she couldn't afford any massive emotional swings, and she slowly forced herself to calm down.

She touched her slightly rounded stomach. She had genuinely thought it was just stubborn belly fat.

She actually had a baby in there.

The best part was that she didn't even have to lie to Tristan. He already believed the child was gone.
