Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 237

Given his status, Chuck had seen countless beautiful women. But he never expected the woman in front of him to be breathtaking to such a degree. It was the kind of striking beauty that instantly imprinted itself on a man's memory.

"I'm so sorry," Chuck said, reaching out to help her up.

Nova caught the look in his eyes—it was the direct, unmistakable gaze of a man captivated by a woman.

Chuck had always claimed that Yvette saved his life and that he owed her a massive debt of gratitude. Because of his protective stance over Yvette, he had never spared Nova anything but cold, cutting remarks in the past.

"Don't bother," Nova said, a flash of disgust crossing her eyes as she stood up on her own.

Chuck raised an eyebrow in surprise.

He was wearing top-tier designer clothing and driving a limited edition Porsche.

He assumed the woman standing before him would at least try to be accommodating, like the countless gold-diggers or social climbers he usually encountered.

He certainly hadn't expected to be shut down so coldly.

Her fierce attitude combined with her stunning face and elegant aura was more than enough to spark a successful man's desire to conquer.

"I'm heading to the hospital to visit a friend. If you don't mind, I can give you a ride. I'll take full responsibility for any medical checkups and compensation," Chuck offered, his eyes resting quietly on her.

Nova had zero interest in exchanging another word with him. Seeing her cab arrive, she walked straight toward it and reached for the door handle.

Chuck didn't push it. He stepped forward, smoothly opening the door for her like a gentleman, and handed her a sleek business card. "My personal card. If you decide to pursue this later, Miss, just call this number. I, Chuck Clayton, am at your service anytime."

As the cab pulled away, Nova stared at the gold-embossed black card in her hand, completely taken aback.

Back when she had desperately tried to fit into Tristan's social circle, she had bent over backwards trying to appease Kieran and Chuck—especially Chuck, whose personality was so similar to Tristan's and who was one of his closest friends.

She had constantly been met with cold shoulders. Even when he finally gave her a phone number out of 'respect' for Tristan, it had only been his secretary's.
