Nova had already prepared the divorce agreement herself.
But for the next few days, she didn't see Tristan at all. He hadn't returned to Clearwater Manor.
He was probably keeping Yvette company.
As for the matter with The Heartland, there was no update either. Since she couldn't get ahold of Tristan's assistant, Sean, the issue was put on hold.
She wasn't worried about it, but since she had slapped Yvette, Nova wasn't entirely sure if Tristan would still sell The Heartland back to her.
Soon enough, the day of Latonia's hospital discharge arrived.
Nova couldn't go in person, terrified someone would spot her. Instead, she waited outside the office building, having arranged for her mentors and colleagues to bring the baby by so she could at least catch a glimpse.
"They're here, they're here!" Chloe tugged excitedly at Nova's sleeve.
The nanny carried little Latonia out of the car.
Nova rushed forward, unable to wait a second longer. As she held the baby and felt her weight, tears welled up in her eyes.
"Latonia, my sweet little Latonia..." Red-eyed, Nova was just about to pull back the blanket to look at her daughter's face when a familiar voice cut through the air.
"Mr. Forrester requests that you get in the car."
No one had noticed Tristan's car pulling up right next to them.
Nova looked up and saw Sean—the assistant she hadn't been able to contact—standing by the vehicle.
The car door was already open. Tristan was sitting inside, barely two steps away from her!
Nova's heart dropped.
She couldn't let Tristan see Latonia.
The baby's eyes were nearly a carbon copy of his.
If the baby opened her eyes and he saw them, he would immediately get suspicious!
