Assuming it was a coincidence, Nova tried to sidestep him, but Kieran raised an arm to block her path.

Kieran said, "Chuck mentioned you guys came to Serenity Springs Resort together. I figured I'd run into you here."

Nova glared at him with a deep frown. In the past, Kieran had done nothing but hurl vicious insults at her. His current calm demeanor was incredibly unnerving.

For some inexplicable reason, Kieran suddenly felt nervous. It was the first time he'd ever felt jittery under a woman's gaze.
