Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 55

Nova had documented every single mess she had cleaned up for Yasmin recently, detailing exactly what went wrong at every stage of the workflow. She even had meticulous evidence of a five-million-dollar deficit.

Belinda took one look at it, and her face went completely frigid.

Terrified into silence, Yasmin made a flimsy excuse and bolted.

"Handling these tasks is exhausting enough on its own, let alone having to salvage a botched job. Doing all this while pregnant must have been unbearable for you," Belinda said, raising a hand to signal the butler.

"Use the internal channel. Tell HR to approve Nova's resignation immediately. I want the confirmation email in her inbox in five minutes."

With Belinda's command, it didn't even take five minutes before the official resignation email pinged in Nova's inbox.

In that instant, tears pricked Nova's eyes. She was finally free!

She stared at the resignation letter, lost in a daze for a long time.

Seeing her reaction, Belinda assumed Nova was heartbroken to leave the company, since it was the closest she could get to Tristan.

Taking pity on her devotion, Belinda promised her in the car, "Once you have the baby, recover your health, and get your beautiful figure back, I'll arrange for you to go right back into the company as the Executive Assistant. When the time comes, keep working hard to connect with Tristan. I'll help you win his heart!"

Nova wanted to tell her that she no longer had any interest in that, but seeing the sincerity in Belinda's eyes—and remembering Tristan's cold warnings—she just smiled and said nothing.

When they arrived at Greenhill Abbey, Belinda urged Nova to draw a fortune stick. "Draw one for your marriage with Tristan! Let's have the Master see what the future holds for you two."

Nova didn't believe in these things, but she didn't refuse either. Her only goal today was to keep Belinda happy.

She drew an incredibly auspicious fortune. Thrilled, Belinda hurried to show it to Master Nolan.

"A spiritual fortune for lovers. Top tier. 'A destined tribulation returns to fate. The path of love is shrouded in fog, misunderstandings tear the two apart. But once regret brings bitter longing, the red thread of fate will bind them once more.'"

Nova stood quietly by Belinda's side as the Master read the ancient text. "What does it mean?" Belinda asked.

He then glanced at Tristan's chart, looking even more amazed. "And her husband possesses the destiny of an Emperor! Together, they are the ultimate dragon and phoenix. Truly a match made in heaven!"

Nova felt absolutely nothing.

She was certain the Master was just saying exactly what Belinda wanted to hear. She made an excuse to go to the restroom.

Beaming with joy, Belinda nodded and let her go.

The moment Nova was out of sight, Belinda excitedly texted the prophecy to Tristan.

Standing at a distance, Nova had no idea how Tristan responded, but her phone buzzed with a message from her senior, Samuel.

'Fantastic news, you finally quit! Send me your official resignation approval, and I'll fast-track your application to CN Dynamics. I'm personally onboarding you! Our professor is going to be so thrilled when he hears about this!'

Nova forwarded the electronic resignation approval to Samuel. It had the official Forrester Group stamp, making it legally binding. Because it was a mutually agreed separation, even when Tristan eventually found out, he wouldn't be able to pursue any legal action against her.
