Too Late For Regrets, Mr. Billionaire (Brianna Meyers and Brandon Levy) novel Chapter 115

Chapter 115

Unity Group came crashing down in a single night. The mortgage payment came due, and they tried to use the land they’d just won at auction to get another loan. But the bank valued it at only a third of what they’d paid at auction.

That was when Blanca realized all the expensive land she’d bid for turned out to be commercial property. It was all spelled out clearly in the contract.

In an instant, her world came crashing down. Blanca dropped to the floor, wailing and screaming that she’d been wronged.

Whitney had always suspected his daughter was plotting against him, but he never imagined she could be so ruthless.

He nearly passed out from rage more than once, but he kept himself from collapsing. No, I can’t fall now. If I do, everything’s truly finished.

For his precious Darcy, he refused to surrender.

Ignoring Blanca’s wailing and curses, Whitney hobbled into his study with his cane, digging out the brochures for the land. The brochures spelled it out that this was land zoned for residential use.

Tristan and Brianna set a trap for me, Whitney realized.

His eyes turned sharp and vicious. If they want to push me this far, then if I’m going down, I’ll drag them down with me!

Whitney called the cops. Since it was a financial crime, the police wasted no time launching an investigation, When the call came in, Brianna was at the amusement park with her daughter.

She kept getting called in for questioning at the station, and every time, her heart would pound. She wasn’t worried about herself. What really scared her was the thought of Tristan getting caught up in all this.

The amusement park was just a stone’s throw from the Levy Group. Brianna hurried over with her daughter, planning to drop her off with Brandon before heading to the police station.

Brandon was in the middle of a meeting. Brianna considered leaving her daughter with his assistant, but then she paused, feeling lost and anxious. She was afraid she’d make the wrong call, so she decided it was better to ask Brandon directly for his advice.

Brianna told the assistant she needed to see Brandon urgently and asked him to let him know.

The assistant slipped into the meeting room and whispered something in Brandon’s ear

Brandon frowned, stood up, and walked out of the conference room. As soon as he stepped to his office. Kandra rushed over and threw her arins around him. “Daddy

Beardon lifted her sip and asked gently, Did you have fun today?

It was so much fun! I love it when Mommy plays with me,Kendra said, shooting Brianna a sweet, almost pleading look.

Brianna was so lost in her own thoughts that she barely registered what Kendra was saying.

Seeing the worry written all over Brianna’s face, Brandon turned to Kendra and said, Your aunt’s next door, Go say hello to her?

No, I don’t want to see Auntie,” Kendra pouted, clearly protesting.

Come on, be good. Go say hi to Auntie and then come right back.Brandon coaxed her away.

Brandon walked up to Brianna, his voice back to its usual steady tone. Is something wrong? Did you need something?

They reported us for financial fraud. The police want me in for questioning, Brianna explained, keeping it brief about Unity Group.

Brandon’s expression hardened. He crossed his arms and arched an eyebrow, Us?

Brianna missed the irritation in his tone. Not you, just me and Tristan.

The atmosphere chilled, and Brandon’s whole presence suddenly felt dangerous.

Tristan’s already helped out a lot with this. I really don’t want him getting pulled into any more mess. Do you think this will end up affecting him?Brianna voiced her worries.

The way she kept things strictly friendly between herself and Tristan made Brandon’s expression soften a bit.

Just wait a bit. I’ll go with you to the police station. Brandon turned and walked out of the office, just as Kendra came back from saying hi to her aunt.

Kendra, Mommy and Daddy have something to take care of. Can you stay with your aunt for a little while? We’ll come get you soon, okay? Brandon said gently.

Kendra poured. She knew her aunt didn’t like her, and honestly, she didn’t like her aunt either.

No, I want to stay with Mommy and Daddy,Kendra protested.

Daddy will have the assistant take you home, okay?Brandon said gently.

No! Why can’t I stay with you?Kendra pouted, her little face scrunched up in frustration. Mortuny pronised she’d be with me all day. Why are they sending me away now?

Brandon gently led Kendra back into the office, exchanged a glance with Briana, and continued, Why don’t you head home for now? This weekend, Moramy and Daddy will take you our to the country bruse fora plenic

When she heard they’d go for a picnic. Kendra hesitated for a moment, then looked up at Bruantia, ye Ther face for reassurante.

Yes, I promise I’ll go with you. Brianna said gently.

Only then did Kendra finally agree.

Brandon sent Kendra home with his assistant. Then he hurried off with Brianna to the police station.

When Brianna and Brandon walked into the police station, the officers suddenly realized she was the wife of Brandon, the CEO of Levy Group and the city’s wealthiest man. They traded uneasy glances and realized that this case was clearly way more complicated than they’d expected.

Someone quickly went to fetch their supervisor, and the deputy chief of police rushed over in a hurry.

Mr. Levy, what brings you here?

Brandon reached out and shook the deputy chief’s hand. It’s been a while. I’m here with my wife for the questioning. Please, lead the way.”

Not wanting to offend Brandon, the deputy chief put on a stern face and snapped at his staff, Are you sure there’s no mistake? Why are we questioning Mrs. Levy?

Brandon smiled. It’s alright. Just routine procedure. Cooperating with the police is every citizen’s duty. Please, go ahead.

I apologize for the inconvenience, the deputy chief said, motioning politely for them to proceed.

With Brandon present, the officersattitude shifted noticeably. They didn’t take them to the usual interrogation room, but respectfully escorted them to a conference room instead.

The deputy chief served them water, and the questioning got underway.

After a little over half an hour, the questioning was finished. As they walked out. Brianna finally felt the weight lift off her shoulders

From the way the police questioned her, it was clear to Brianna that Whitney and Blanca had no substantial evidence, just those fake brochures they were using as proof, claiming Tristan and she had committed fraud

Even if those brochures were technically illegal, Blanca was the one who bid on the land in person and personally signed every legal document. It’d be nearly impossible to make the charges stick

But those brochures and shell companies were all orchestrated by Tristan.

Brianna still felt uneasy.

Do you think Tristan will end up implicated in all this?Brianna asked, worry clear in her voice

As far as I know, those companies have already been shut down. There shouldn’t be any trouble, Brandon

But isn’t if suspicious to close the companies right after the auction Won’t the cops start ak

Brandon thought for a moment. Alrigh, here’s the plan Didn’t you say visi mo
