Too Late For Regrets, Mr. Billionaire (Brianna Meyers and Brandon Levy) novel Chapter 67

Chapter 67 Darcy’s Duty Tricks

Chapter 67 Darcy’s Dirty Tricks

At dinner, Brianna found out that Darcy and her family were making waves again.

They were even trying to turn Kendra against Brianna.

Patsy urged her to call the police.

“Are you really going to just put up with this?” Patsy said. “Are you seriously going to let Darcy and her mom flaunt their arrogance right in your face?”

Patsy’s temper was about to blow a fuse.

Brianna’s face showed her discomfort.

Of course she wanted to get back at Darcy and her mom.

Their smug attitude was a slap in the face for her.

But there were things holding her back.

“Even if I accuse her, the police won’t be able to do anything to her.” Brianna said.

The key evidence was probably already gone.

And then, Darcy and her mom would just get even more cocky.

Deep down, what really worried her was that she didn’t have any solid evidence.

Brandon was always covering for Darcy.

He’d pull every string he had to keep that little vixen safe.

That would be a real slap in the face for her.

Patsy shot her a wide-eyed glare.

She looked like she couldn’t believe Brianna wasn’t fighting back.

“Are you seriously just going to let them walk free?” Patsy snapped.

Brianna was boiling inside, just as fed up as Patsy.

“No! Never!” she shot back.

Patsy’s expression softened a little.

In Patsy’s world, she never let someone get away with slapping her.

If someone dared to hit her, not hitting them back was unthinkable.

“So, what’s your plan?” Patsy pressed.

Brianna looked up at the night sky, dotted with stars.

She took a deep breath. “I’ll mess with Unity Group first.”

Patsy rolled her eyes at her.

She was so mad she could grind her teeth to bits.

“Why don’t you just say you’ll go beat her up already?” Patsy snapped. “At least then I wouldn’t be so mad I’d end up with a breast lump!”

Brianna cracked a smile despite herself.

But behind it was a sting of helplessness and sadness.

She couldn’t help but resent herself for not fighting back.

When they got down the mountain, it was already after 10 PM.

It was way too late to go back to the Harper home.

So Brianna asked Tristan to drop her off at her villa on the south side of town.

She hadn’t been back here in ages.

When she walked through the door, the place felt lonely and still.

But Brianna actually enjoyed the peace and quiet.

No more scheming, no more trying to please anyone, she could finally just be herself.

It felt like she was the only one left in the world, everything so clean and simple.

Chapter 67 Darcy’s Daily Tricks

After her shower, Brianna felt refreshed.

She festled into her soft bed and pulled the covers tight around her.

Brianna felt a long-missed sense of safety in her solitude.

Being alone let her finally reta

It gave her the space she needed to clear her head.

In the darkness, Brianna looked deep within herself.

She confronted her true feelings.

Ever since she made up her mind to start fresh last July, six months had gone by.

Six months in, and Brianna still hadn’t managed to spread her wings and fly.

She’d promised herself she’d make the Meyers family pay, but not only had she failed to hurt them she hadn’t even left a scratch.

Instead, they’d left her battered and bruised, barely holding herself together.

Her career was still just getting off the ground.

Not long ago, she’d been wrapped up in a haze of sweet romance.

She’d been daydreaming about Brandon, thinking things could actually work out between them.

No wonder Patsy was ready to blow a fuse at her lack of backbone.

Brianna gave a wry, self-deprecating laugh.

‘Yeah, I really am letting myself down, she thought.

She exhaled deeply.

Tomorrow, she’d move forward, eyes on her goal, no matter what, no backing down.

Not this time. No more running.

Just like Brianna, Darcy couldn’t sleep either.

Ever since Brianna came to, Darcy had been restless.

She just couldn’t calm herself, her nerves constantly on edge/

If she didn’t finish the job, trouble would never end.

Brianna was a ticking time bomb.

She could go off any second.

And when Brianna did, she would wreck everything she had busted her ass to build.

From the way Brianna acted last time she showed up at the house, Darcy could tell she hadn’t forgotten a thing.

‘Why hasn’t she called the cops yet?’ Darcy wondered. ‘What is she so afraid of? Whatever, it just buys me more time. Now I need to strike first. I have to get Brandon on my side as soon as possible. Only then can I flip the whole situation around.’

For the past two years, Darcy had been around Brandon, trying to get closer to him.

She’d gone out of her way to win his favor, always making sure he noticed her efforts. By all rights, he should have fallen for her by now.

But he always kept her at arm’s length, never fully committing nor rejecting her.

Darcy thought, ‘If I say he doesn’t like me, well, every time I ask for something, he always goes out of his way to make it happen.

‘But if I say he likes me, then why hasn’t he ever made a real move? How am I supposed to turn this around? I can’t just sit back and wait for that bitch to crack first.’

As soon as Brianna popped into her thoughts, Darcy’s eyes suddenly sparkled.

Her gaze sharpened, a glint of inspiration flickering in her eyes.

‘Wait, how did that bitch snag Brandon in the first place?’ Darcy mused. ‘Wasn’t it something about drugging him?”

In the darkness, Darcy was electric with anticipation.

A wicked scheme was already taking shape in her mind.

‘I picked up all these dirty tricks from you, Darcy thought.

Chapter 67 Darcy’s City Tricks

**

Early the next morning, Brianna had just finished getting ready and was waiting for Patsy to pick her up.

Her car had been parked at the Harper residence for ages.

Plus, her health wasn’t great these days.

She was always a step slow lately, just couldn’t react as fast as she used to.

She didn’t feel safe driving herself anymore.

After moving back in with the Harpers, Tristan and Patsy would alternate giving her rides.

Brianna was scrolling through her phone.

She came across the trending topics Darcy had paid to boost on social media.

Darcy was putting on her innocent act, playing the sweet, naive girl.

Her fans were all calling her “Sweetheart”

Brianna sneered to herself.

‘She’s really pretending so hard, Brianna thought with a sneer.

She kept scrolling through the feed.

Her phone suddenly rang. It was Brandon calling.

Brianna frowned.

She picked up, sounding grumpy and impatient. “What do you want?”

Brandon paused for three seconds.

His voice was still icy cold. “The doctor said you haven’t done any rehab for more than two weeks. Should! have the therapist come to the Harper residence?”

“No, I’ll go to the hospital myself,” Brianna replied.

There was another long silence.

After a moment, Brandon said in a cold voice, “Alright.”

With that, he hung up.

Brianna felt so stifled she could barely breathe.

‘Ugh, I’m so fed up with this corpse-like ex of mine!’ Brianna grumbled to herself.

Patsy swung by to pick her up.

The two of them made their way to the office.

Brianna was munching on breakfast while checking her emails.

She got a message from Peter, the guy she’d met at the jewelry awards ceremony.

He was asking if she was interested in working together.

Tevanni wanted to team up with Horizon Group to launch a couture jewelry collection.

Last time Peter mentioned it, Brianna just thought he was being polite.

She figured it was just small talk, nothing serious.

Turned out, he actually meant it.

Getting the chance to collaborate with a world-renowned jewelry brand was a huge deal.

This partnership could instantly boost both her own and Horizon Group’s name recognition.

Brianna was practically buzzing with excitement.

She fired off an email right away, letting him know she was eager to work together.

She kept checking her inbox.

She spotted an email from the organizers of the jewelry competition she’d entered a while back.

The design showcase had already wrapped up.

An auction was scheduled for next month.

The organizers asked if Brianna wanted her piece to be included in the auction.
