Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 439

The swift success inevitably drew loud detractors.

Not long after the launch, the deputy fund manager called her in a panic. "Boss, Roxanne Porter is trashing you online."

"Are people still buying?" Mira asked calmly.

"Yes, mostly our internal staff."

"As long as there are buyers, we have enough capital to operate."

If outsiders didn't want to invest, it was their loss.

Curious, Mira checked the forums. Roxanne had posted a scathing, aggressive thread.

"Mira is a high schooler without a college degree! She has zero professional knowledge. Are you really going to let her play games with your hard-earned money? Wake up before you lose everything!"

A few other skeptics chimed in, but Roxanne was by far the loudest.

Despite the screaming, the fund quotas continued to plummet.

Roxanne was furious. How did this teenager command so much trust while she, a woman with a master's degree in economics from Harvard, couldn't get a single person to listen to her?

Roxanne's ruined reputation quickly backfired. Netizens swarmed the comments, mercilessly dragging her.

"Who the hell are you to judge Mira?"

"Don't project your low IQ onto her. She's a famous songwriter and a stock prodigy before even graduating high school! What have you done?"

"You have a Harvard degree and you're a complete failure at your big age!"

The next day at school, Mira learned that Liora Bennett, Celine Ward, and even Elara Finn had managed to invest. Harvey Rivers had confidently thrown in ten million dollars.

Owen called to gloat. "Did it work?"

"You tell me," Mira smirked.

"I swear, everything you touch turns to gold."

"Don't be jealous."

Shortly after, Dominic West called. "I thought this would take a while, but I barely managed to snag a million dollars' worth this morning."

"You have time to scramble for my funds, but no time to be my consultant? I'd pay you!" Mira teased.
