Too Late To Love Me I Already Left With His Twins (Lydia and Dave) novel Chapter 186

“I survived though.”

By lunchtime, the kitchen smelled warm and rich with butter, garlic, and grilled seasoning.

I stood by the counter mashing potatoes carefully while one of the staff hovered nearby looking personally stressed watching me work.

“Ma,” she said carefully again, “please let me help you.”

“I am helping myself emotionally,” I replied without looking up..

“You had allergies.”

“Life altering allergies.”

Ava nodded thoughtfully.

Lunch ended up louder than expected because apparently surviving a health scare restored Eli’s personality at double intensity.

By evening, the house settled into another softer rhythm.
