Too Late To Love Me I Already Left With His Twins (Lydia and Dave) novel Chapter 293

Anna pov

I didn’t know enough about Lydia and Dave’s history to sit there and make some grand declaration about who deserved whom.

Their relationship was complicated.

Very complicated.

There were years between them that I didn’t fully understand, and right now Lydia couldn’t even remember them herself.

But Theo?

I knew Theo.

And I knew the way he looked at Lydia.

So yes.

I was rooting for my brother.

But that wasn’t even the part that bothered me.

What bothered me was that I didn’t want Theo getting himself trapped in this weird emotional limbo where he was constantly hovering around a woman who didn’t remember him, hoping that one day she would suddenly wake up and remember exactly what he meant to her.

Because what if she didn’t?

What if the memories took months?

What if they took years?

What if some of them never came back?

What was Theo supposed to do then?

Keep waiting?

Keep showing up every two days?

Keep pretending that he was completely fine with not knowing whether the woman he cared about would ever look at him and actually remember him?

No.

I couldn’t let that happen.

I needed a solution.

And that’s when I started thinking.

Now, before anybody judges me, please remember one thing.

I’m just a girl.

A very concerned girl.

A girl whose best friend had basically lost ten years of her life overnight.

A girl whose brother was falling for said best friend.

A girl who had watched two children faint because their mother didn’t recognize them.

A girl who had been awake at stupid hours thinking about neurological recovery, memory formation, brain injuries, and every possible way this entire situation could somehow get better.

So yes.

I devised a plan.

Was it slightly insane?

Maybe.

Was it questionable?

Possibly.

Was it completely out of my business?

Absolutely.

But did that stop me?

Of course not.

Because here’s the thing.

Lydia’s accident happened because of a car accident.

A traumatic accident that caused a serious head injury, knocked her unconscious, and left her with this horrible gap in her autobiographical memory.

And according to the doctors, her brain was healing.

Just maybe—

there was a way to give those fragments a little push.

And I knew exactly where to start.

Because there was one thing about Lydia’s accident that had been bothering me.

The accident itself.

The car.

The place where it happened.

The circumstances surrounding it.

Maybe her brain had associated that moment with trauma.

Maybe going anywhere near it would be a terrible idea.

Maybe it would do absolutely nothing.

Or maybe—

just maybe—

something about it could trigger something.

And I knew this sounded completely crazy.

But I also knew that sitting around and hoping wasn’t enough for me anymore.

So I picked up my phone.

I stared at the screen for a few seconds.

Then I opened my messages.

And started typing.

Because if this worked, even a little bit…

Maybe we could finally get our Lydia back.

Reading History

No history.
