Chapter 75 Roast the Bootlickers

“Yeah, I almost forgot too. Rich families have strict rules. An adopted daughter can never compare to the real heiress, after all.”
Clara’s perfect “lady” facade cracked at the murmurs. She ground her teeth, her cheeks burning like she’d been slapped hard.
Nothing infuriated her more than people pointing out she was just the Tuckers’ adopted daughter.
Putting on a wronged expression, Clara burst into tears. “Margaret, how could you say that? I’ve always respected you like my real sister…”
She sobbed beautifully, her eyes glistening with tears-enough to make all her fans’ hearts ache
“Margaret’s going too far! So what if she’s the real heiress? How dare she talk to Clara like that? She’s so rude!” Clara’s supporters jumped to defend her.
In an instant, Margaret was painted as an unreasonable, bullying rich brat.
A few guys from Clara’s fan club marched over, glowering at Margaret. “You’re Margaret, right? You made Clara cry! Apologize to her-now!”
Yeah, sure, Margaret’s drop-dead gorgeous—but she’s so vicious for talking to Clara like that!
Clara’s the nicest person ever. How could she do that to her? Make her cry like that? Doesn’t she have any kind of conscience?
Facing the tall guys, Margaret didn’t flinch. Instead, she raised an eyebrow defiantly, her cold voice laced with impatience. “You guys wanna die?”
Her words cut sharp, oozing that “top dog” vibe. Her pretty eyes looked lazy, but when she glared at those guys? Pure contempt-like she was staring at bugs.
That powerful, cool aura was off the charts!
Everyone around-guys and girls alike-felt their hearts race.
She’s so badass! So beautiful!
How could a girl be this cool, this dashing?
She is like a walking heartthrob, stealing everyone’s attention!
The guys hadn’t expected Margaret to be so bold-even rude! –
They froze, feeling an inexplicable pressure under her gaze. But with so many people watching, and their goddess wronged, they had to step up as her “knights.” They couldn’t back down.
“Margaret, Clara’s your sister!” one guy said, trying to sound righteous. “You said such mean things to her. Apologizing is the least you can do!”
Margaret winked playfully. “I’m scolding my own dog. What’s that got to do with you?”

Whoa!
The crowd gasped, their blood pumping.
That is epic!
Margaret was the first person brave enough to stand up to Clara’s fan club.
Normally, the club ran roughshod over everyone-banning girls from dressing nicer than Clara, attacking anyone who badmouthed her, and forcing people to vote for her in every beauty contest.
But since most members were rich brats, no one dared to fight back.
Watching Margaret take them on now? It was incredibly satisfying!
“Margaret… how could you say that about me?” Clara sobbed harder, furious enough to explode.
She wanted to stab Margaret to death.
But on the surface, she looked so wronged that her fans’ hearts ached for her.
“We’re Clara’s guardians! Of course we’ll intervene!” they snapped, glaring at Margaret. They had to impress Clara!
Their self-righteous words made Margaret laugh. She didn’t hold back. “Guardians? You’re just a bunch of bootlickers. Calling yourselves ‘knights’ to sound fancy-how pathetic.”
Her words were ruthless, sharp as a knife-humiliating to the core!
“Haha! Margaret’s hilarious! She’s so right!”
“Exactly! ‘Guardians’ my foot! They’re just bootlickers-probably the kind the boss can’t even name. So sad!”
Laughter erupted. The guys’ faces burned-ashamed and furious, like animals in a zoo.
The fury in their stares at Margaret burned even hotter!
“Margaret! Don’t think we won’t hit a girl!” they snarled. “Apologize to Clara now, or you’ll regret it!”
They closed in, ready to grab her and force her to apologize.
Just then, Margaret waved casually at the guys from her class-treating them like her underlings. “You guys, come over here. Beat these dogs up.”
