Trapped by Seven Mafia Wolves novel Chapter 163

Epilogue

Damion’s POV

I wake up before the sun.

Not because I’m an early riser.

No.

By the time I meet her outside the café, my heart is already trying to abandon my body.

Aurora spots me instantly, smile wide, hair soft and messy from the wind.

Every time I see her, I wonder how the hell I ever lived without this.

“Damion!” she beams, jogging toward me.

I swear the sun hits her on purpose.

“Hey, Estrella,” I say, and it’s ridiculous how even saying her nickname calms me.

She reaches me and slips her arm through mine with a soft familiarity that still sends warmth

through my chest.

She has no idea she’s walking next to someone whose heart is trying to kick its way out of his ribs.

We barely walk a block before she turns to me with that excited, conspiratorial expression.

“Oh! You’re not going to believe this,” she says.

“Liam and Zoe are getting married.”

I immediately inhale wrong, choke on oxygen, and probably forget my own name for a moment.

She laughs at my startled expression. Marriage.

Today of all days?

“Yes!” she goes on, practically glowing. “Isn’t that so cute? I’m so happy for them.”

I nod, trying to sound normal. “Yeah. That’s amazing.

“Aurora starts rambling about Zoe’s wedding plan- color palettes, playlists, the fact that Liam cried when Zoe showed him a Pinterest board. She’s glowing.

Literally glowing. Her hands move when she talks, her smile is huge.

She pauses mid–story, glancing at me with that curious little tilt of her head.

“What do you think?” she asks softly.

My brain short–circuits. “About what?”

She gives me a look the kind that says wow, you really are an idiot sometimes shoulder into mine.

“Marriage, Dami.”

Oh. Oh god.

My mind screams.

I open my mouth, already afraid of what’s going to come out.

“…What’s marriage?”

The second it leaves my lips, I want the ground to eat me up.

Aurora stops walking and stares at me for a beat… then bursts out laughing.

Not a cute giggle.

But a full laugh.

Head thrown back, eyes closed, clutching her stomach like I just reinvented comedy.

and bumps her

“Oh my god, Damion,” she wheezes between breaths, “Why are you like this?“I rub a hand over my

face, groaning.

“Por favor, mi amore. Just ignore everything I say today.”

(Please, my love.)

We walk for hours, moving through old familiar streets, stopping at bakery windows, crossing

through parks where kids run past us laughing.

Aurora holds my hand loosely, swinging it like shes weightless. She talks about her week, her newest house designs, the stray cat that keeps following her to her dorm. I listen to every word, committing each expression, each sound, to memory.

There’s that moment where she’s talking about nothing and everything -the sky, a song she heard, somebody’s dog wearing a sweater and she turns her face toward the sun. The warmth hits her cheekbones and she looks so soft, so breathtaking, I forget how to breathe.

“You’re staring,” she murmurs without looking at me.

“Lo siento,” I say, “You’re just… beautiful.

“(Sorry)She blushes, and my heart does something violent in my chest.
