Chapter 462 A Psychiatrist’s Suggestion
Chapter 462 A Psychiatrist’s Suggestion
Sophia’s hands turned icy, and a chill spread through her entire body.
Did that mean Ruby could be dealing with a mental health issue?
She wasn’t sure how she made it back to the hospital room–her mind had gone completely blank.
Seeing how pale she looked, Florence asked with concern, “What’s wrong, honey?”
“What am I supposed to do, Florence?” Sophia’s eyes reddened, and she felt like she was falling apart.
“Come sit down and tell me everything.” Florence guided her to a chair, then hesitated. “Is it about Ruby’s condition?”

“The doctor said on the surface, fainting was caused by sleep deprivation, but given everything… she might have a psychological disorder. What do I do now?” Sophia’s voice trembled slightly.
“Let’s not panic just yet. The doctor only said it’s a possibility. He probably thought that because Ruby keeps mentioning hearing strange noises.” Florence tried to sound reassuring. “We’ll keep her in the hospital for now and follow the treatment plan. We’ll figure the rest out step by step.”
She paused, then added gently, “Even if it turns out to be what the doctor suspects, we’ll find her the right help. We won’t let anything happen to Ruby. There are always options.”
“Florence, thank God I have you. I wouldn’t know where to turn otherwise.” Sophia felt a little steadier.
Florence gave her hand a soft squeeze. “We have to stay calm through this. If we lose our composure, how can we support Ruby? Right?”
“Right. I understand.” Sophia nodded firmly, pulling herself together.
She took a deep breath and stood up. “I’ll go pick up her medication. The doctor prescribed some sleep aids.”
“Go ahead. Ruby’s asleep–I’ll stay with her,” Florence said.
After Sophia left, Florence returned to the bedside. She watched Ruby, who was sleeping but restless, and sighed softly. “How did things come to this?”
ght had fallen by the time Arabella returned to Cloudrise Manor.
cing Frank was there too, her face lit up with surprise. “Frank, you’re back!”
“Yeah,” Frank replied, handing her a small velvet box. “This is for you.”
“What is it?” she asked curiously, opening the box.
Inside lay a pendant–a brilliant, vivid green that instantly caught the light.
“This is premium emerald!” Arabella lifted it gently to examine it. “And not just the color… the clarity and cut are flawless.”
Frank smiled, looking impressed. “You know your gemstones?”

“Oh, I just read a book on gem identification once,” she explained casually.

“Seriously, Arabella, that’s amazing!” Ethan chimed in admiringly. “Just from reading a book, you can grade an emerald like that? Usually, it takes years of handling real pieces to develop that kind of eye.”
She really was something else.
Arabella offered a modest smile. “I’ve just always liked emeralds, so I read up on them.”
“Our Arabella is good at everything,” Florence remarked affectionately.
Arabella placed the pendant back into the box and glanced at Frank. “This must have cost a fortune.”
“It wasn’t too bad,” Frank said calmly.
Ethan grinned. “An emerald this size is incredibly rare. I doubt there are more than five like it in the world.”
“Mhmm,” Arabella agreed with a nod.
Frank shrugged lightly. “Came across it and thought you’d like it. So I got it.”
The price didn’t matter to him–not when it came to her.
Arabella tucked the box away and gave a warm smile. “Thank you, Frank. I’ll treasure it.”
Then she turned to Ethan. “You seem to know a lot about gems too!”
“Well, we studied gemology briefly. Plus, in investment circles, you pick things up,” Ethan replied.
Suddenly, as if something clicked, he gave Arabella a thoughtful look.
He remembered she also seemed knowledgeable about investing–her style reminded him a bit of the famous investor Marla.
Almost as if she sensed his thoughts, Arabella glanced away and said lightly, “I see. Maybe I should look into it more when I have time.”
“Sure. I can arrange a tutor for you,” Frank offered.

I started the novel with great interest. In the beginning the storyline was captivating. Then I feel that the more the story advances, the twists were no longer great. Moreover I don't like Arabella s personality, cold, distant......
