Still not grasping the situation, Harper frowned in irritation. “What is everyone standing around for? Call security and get these two thrown out!”
“Yeah, exactly. They’re totally killing the vibe just by being here,” Dylan added, chiming in with a dismissive tone.
Calvin, who had a sharper sense for these things, was already picking up that something wasn’t right. His eyes drifted uneasily toward Ethan.
Just who are you, anyway?” It was becoming clear this guy wasn’t some nobody.
“Wait, you seriously don’t know who he is?”
“Oh my god, how did they even get in?”
“Yeah, who sent them an invite?”
“You didn’t sneak in, did you?”
The room quickly buzzed with murmurs. Was there anyone here who didn’t recognize Ethan?
Watching the scene unfold, Calvin felt a knot of dread tighten in his stomach.
He clenched his jaw and made a quick call. “Harper, Dylan–both of you cut it out and leave. Now.”
“Uncle!” Harper’s eyes widened in disbelief. What was he doing?
Dylan wasn’t having it either. “Don’t forget, without my dad, you wouldn’t even be here right now. And now you’re telling us to leave?”
Being kicked out in front of Arabella–how humiliating would that be?
Besides, if anyone deserved to be thrown out, it was her.
Calvin’s face flushed with anger at their stubbornness. Through gritted teeth, he hissed, “Do you two ever use your heads? Can’t you read the room?”
Better two of them take the fall than all three.
But before he could say another word, it was already too late.
Arabella had caught on to exactly what Calvin was trying to pull. Why would she give him the chance?
“What, you think you can just throw dirt on people and walk away like it’s nothing?” Arabella raised a brow. feigning confusion. “Since when is there no consequence for spreading lies?”
Ethan glanced at Arabella, picking up exactly what she was doing. A faint smile touched the corner of his
mouth

Then he turned, his demeanor turning ice–cold, and announced clearly, “Fine. If there’s no place for us here, I’ll leave with my sister.”
“You’re… leaving?” Edward stood frozen, completely thrown.
The event coordinators were equally stunned. “No, no–Mr. Ethan, you can’t leave!”
“I brought her here. If that’s how it is, I’m leaving too.” Matthew’s cool voice cut through the chatter.
“What?” Nearly everyone in carshot gaped in shock.
The coordinators looked like they were about to panic. If those two power players walked out, the whole evening would be pointless.
“Mr. Stewart, please–this is on us. We’ll handle the disruption right away,” one organizer said hastily before shooting a sharp glare at Calvin and the others. “Security! Escort these people out. Now.”
Calvin’s face went pale. If he got publicly tossed out like this, his reputation in the industry would be finished.
“This is all a misunderstanding–there has to be some mistake,” Calvin backtracked quickly, desperate to
stay.
He was here for investors, after all. That was what mattered.
“Uncle, what are you doing? They’re the ones who should go, not us!” Harper scowled, not understanding why they were backing down so easily.
Knowing how much Freya had spoiled Harper, Calvin ignored her and turned to Dylan. “Just take her outside for now. Let me handle this.”
“Not happening,” Dylan shot back flatly. His job was to keep an eye on Calvin.
He wasn’t dumb–he knew the Clark family and his were only playing nice out of necessity, sticking together because they had to.
His mom had told him to stay alert and watch Calvin closely.
“You two…” Calvin was so frustrated he could’ve choked.
Absolutely useless–all they did was make things worse!
Seeing the three of them refuse to budge, the organizer grew even more anxious.
“Security! Right now–get them out of here!”
He couldn’t afford to lose Matthew and Ethan over people like this.
Security moved in, tone firm. “You need to leave the premises now, or we will have to remove you.” “We’re not going anywhere. We came with invitations–what gives you the right to kick us out?” Harper

The readers' comments on the novel: True Heiress Returns to Her Unemployed Rich Family (Arabella)
I started the novel with great interest. In the beginning the storyline was captivating. Then I feel that the more the story advances, the twists were no longer great. Moreover I don't like Arabella s personality, cold, distant......
