Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 460

Julian stared at his phone for a long moment after the call ended, then let out a heavy sigh.

A few minutes later, as if something had just occurred to him, he dialed another number. The call was answered almost instantly. “Boss.”

“Send Helene to the psychiatric hospital. Make sure she actually gets treated,” Julian said, his voice low and hard.

Miles paused, just for a second. He knew exactly what Julian meant by “actually gets treated.”

“And warn the Fortner family. If they can’t control their daughter, we’ll make sure she disappears.”

“Yes, boss.”

The Fortner family home was thrown into chaos when Julian’s men burst through the doors. Painful memories slammed into Helene, making her breath catch.

“What are you doing?” Courtney shouted, her voice sharp with panic as she watched Helene being dragged away.

“Miles, what the hell is this? Let go of Helene! Did you hear me? Let go!” Courtney yelled. Who did these people think they were, barging in like this? Did they really think the Fortner family was just going to stand by and do nothing?

Helene was frozen with fear, her whole body tensed up. The sheet mask she’d been wearing slipped off her face and landed on the floor. She looked like she wanted to disappear, curling up as tightly as she could.

“Let go of me! What are you doing? Are you all insane? Let go! Mom, help me!”

Courtney rushed over and grabbed Helene, desperation in her voice. “Where are you taking her?”

One of the men glanced at her. “Don’t worry. We’re not here to hurt Ms. Fortner.”

“Then where are you taking her?”

Miles gave a slight, cold smile. “We’re just bringing Ms. Fortner in for some treatment.”

An hour later, Helene was in a hospital gown, shoved into a room at the psychiatric ward. Her fear hadn’t faded one bit. She fought so hard that several doctors had to hold her down.

Miles stood back, watching with cold eyes. “Ms. Fortner, you brought this on yourself. Maybe you should think about that.”

He turned to the doctors. “Mr. Grayson says to take good care of her.”

The doctors nodded, understanding perfectly. “Tell Mr. Grayson not to worry. We’ll make sure Ms. Fortner gets the best treatment.”

“Good.”

“Miles, get back here! Come back, do you hear me? Let me out! Let me out! Let me out!” Helene screamed, watching Miles leave as the doctors started moving closer. “What are you doing? What are you doing?”

One of the doctors just smiled. “It’s time for your treatment, Ms. Fortner…”
