Chapter 421 Jealous Sebastian.
As Serena spoke, she shut down her computer as well.
After getting pregnant, she didn’t want to work overtime at all anymore.
When she went to the mall next door at noon today, she couldn’t resist buying some baby clothes. Even though she knew it was still too early, her urge to shop skyrocketed the moment she saw those cute, pastel–colored items. Besides, she was using the card Sebastian gave her, so it didn’t hurt as much.
Hence, she was carrying bags upon bags, even an extra coat hanging from her arm.
Gavin was quick to notice her situation and said, “Ms. Steele, I’m taking the elevator too. Let me help you carry these to your car
Serena didn’t like troubling others, but he was so enthusiastic that she didn’t refuse.
“Alright, thank you. Sorry to trouble you.”
The elevator ride was quiet and a bit awkward since Serena wasn’t very good at small talk.
“Gavin, where do you live?”
Gavin smiled slightly and replied, “Near the company. It’s about five subway stops away. The commute time is within half an hour.
“I see,” Serena nodded. “That’s quite close.” She felt that Gavin really wasn’t some privileged hire since there was no way a nepotism case would still be taking the subway.
Soon, the elevator reached the first floor.
Serena tried to take the shopping bags from him. “Give them to me. My family is here to pick me up.”
She had originally wanted to say it was her driver, but she changed the words since she felt that it would be a bit too showy in fron of a new employee.
“It’s okay, Ms. Steele. I’ll carry them to the car for you.”
Serena realized Gavin really had endless energy–so enthusiastic it made her feel a little embarrassed.
“My car is over there. Just give them to me.”
Gavin glanced behind her and said, “Alright, Ms. Steele. See you tomorrow.”
“See you tomorrow.” Serena smiled politely.
When she opened the car door and saw the man in the back seat with a tense expression, she suddenly felt a bit guilty.
“Honey, why are you here?”
“Who was that guy just now?”
Oh no, someone’s jealous again, Serena thought.
Serena wanted to tease him, so she deliberately said, “Oh, he is just some handsome guy I met in the elevator. He insisted on

helping me Carry my things. I wonder which company he’s from. I’ve never seen him before.”
“I dare you!” Sebastian reached out and pulled her into his embrace. “Don’t go asking about him! What’s handsom
skinny four eyes? Is he better looking than me?”
Serena couldn’t believe that he was giving people nicknames now.
“Didn’t you also like wearing glasses when you were flirting with me before?”
Serena wrapped her arms around his neck and breathed softly in his ear. “Oh, I just remembered that you wore those glass purpose back then, didn’t you?”
She realized that Sebastian wasn’t even nearsighted, yet he used to deliberately wear glasses.
Serena thought this man was quite scheming.
Sebastian cleared his throat and said, “My eyes were itchy back then. Don’t change the subject now. We’re not done talking about that four–eyes!”
“Alright, alright. That’s my newly hired assistant! He saw I bought too much stuff and helped carry it down since I’m pregnant. I was just teasing you,” Serena explained.
Sebastian was silent for a moment before saying, “Can’t they assign you a female assistant instead?”
Serena blinked. “You’re being too overbearing, Mr. CEO.”
Sebastian pursed his lips. He felt a little sour inside, but he was also afraid of seeming too domineering and upsetting her.
Soon, night fell.
At some point, the towel wrapped around Sebastian’s waist slipped loose. Careful not to press against her belly, he pulled her onto his lap and kissed her.
Serena felt the kisses fall one after another on her body. The restrained warmth he usually kept since her pregnancy was gone tonight and was replaced by a sudden, spreading intensity.
Since the pregnancy, Sebastian’s kisses had always been restrained–rarely like today.
