Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 795

Amara didn't want to speak to this man anymore, so she hung up.

She gripped her phone, biting her lip, feeling deeply unhappy.

Her unhappiness wasn't just because of the tweet from the Everly Group's account, but also because she had ended up speaking with Finnian when she had meant to call Will.

Now, just hearing Finnian's voice or seeing his face was enough to make her remember the photos Liliana had sent her and the places Liliana had taken her.

And with those memories, her mood would plummet. The feeling was utterly dreadful.

Amara closed her eyes, trying hard to suppress her emotions. Just then, her phone vibrated. It was Finnian calling. Annoyed, she rejected the call and put her phone away.

Finnian stared at the darkened screen, stunned for a moment after Amara rejected his call.

It wasn't his imagination. Amara had been growing colder toward him over the past few days. It felt like it had happened overnight.

Before, even though she didn't exactly welcome his presence, her attitude toward him had been relatively mild.

What had happened now? Why had her attitude changed so drastically?

He felt a pang of sadness but didn't know what to do. He could only stare blankly at his phone.

In the afternoon, after another scene wrapped, Keith came over to speak with Amara without even changing out of his costume. "Did you see the post from the Everly Group's official account? Finnian must have ordered that. I bet he even wrote it himself. He really has too much time on his hands."

Keith scoffed, his tone dismissive.

Amara nodded. "He posted it. I called his assistant to have him delete it, but he refused."

She remembered the photos Liliana had shown her and the things Liliana had said. The memories were genuinely painful, so she had been trying to avoid thinking about Finnian.

Keith said, "It's good that he hasn't come looking for you. Now that he knows the baby is his, he's definitely going to cling to you."

"If he shows up and you can't get rid of him, just give me a call."

Amara nodded and agreed.

But she knew that if such a situation ever arose, she would never call Keith.

Individually, Keith and Finnian were manageable. But putting them together was like lighting a powder keg. A fight was almost guaranteed, and Amara wouldn't dare let them get near each other.
