Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 799

Nora shook her head. "It wasn't too bad. Elysia stopped them right after they started, but now neither of them will leave her apartment, and they're still arguing."

Nora looked distressed.

She hadn't expected to run into this kind of situation just a few days into being Elysia's assistant.

Amara said, "I can go up by myself. You should go home. Did you drive?"

Nora nodded. "Yes, I'm parked on the street. I'll go now, Amara. If anything happens, call me anytime. I can come back."

This was Elysia's private matter. Nora was her professional assistant, not like when she was with Liliana, where she was responsible for both work and personal life. Here with Elysia, there were some things she shouldn't overhear.

Nora understood this perfectly, so she just nodded at Amara and left.

Amara had a key to Elysia's apartment. She let herself into the living room and found Elysia sitting furiously on the sofa while Dorian and Lucian stood in front of the coffee table, glaring at each other with bruised faces.

She glanced around. The living room wasn't too badly damaged, but two teacups were shattered on the floor, and the trash can was overturned. Combined with the injuries on the two men's faces, it was clear they had indeed been fighting.

Amara changed into slippers and walked in, frowning. "What happened? Ely, are you okay?"

She took Elysia's hand, her expression worried.

Elysia shook her head, signaling that she was fine.

"Me, delusional? You're the one deceiving yourself," Lucian said, his eyes turning menacing.

"What did you say?" Dorian's eyes narrowed dangerously.

Lucian met his gaze without fear. "The person Elysia likes is me. She only wants to be with me. And you say she's yours? If that's not deceiving yourself, what is?"

His claim that Elysia liked him made Dorian's expression twist for a moment.

He clenched his fist, ready to fight Lucian again.

Amara finally couldn't take it anymore. She had come to break up the fight, so she walked over, her brow furrowed. "Can you two just knock it off for a minute? Ely hasn't been feeling well these past few days and needs some quiet. Can you please not argue in front of her? And for the record, you're not allowed to argue in private, either."
