Antonia conveniently left out the details, framing the entire situation as Amara relentlessly bullying her.
As the cherished princess of the family, her complaints immediately summoned a wave of protective relatives. Her aunt, Miranda, was the first to rush to her defense.
"Antonia, honey, I knew Amara would come after you. She used to be your aunt Emma's daughter-in-law, and heaven knows Emma despises her. Word is, Emma made her life a living hell behind closed doors. Amara is just taking all that pent-up anger out on our sweet girl."
"It makes sense, honestly. It's just a shame our Antonia has to suffer the crossfire because of Emma."
Several other family members quickly chimed in, echoing the sentiment.
Reading this, Emma was furious and typed back, "I obviously don't get along with Amara, but I have absolutely nothing to do with their production. Why would she target Antonia because of me? Stop being ridiculous, Miranda."
Miranda replied with a smiley-face emoji. "I think you're just being dense, Emma. You bullied her, so naturally, she wants revenge. And how does she get it? Through Antonia, of course. Everyone knows she's your spitting image."
Miranda had a sharp tongue, shutting Emma down in just a few sentences. Emma was so enraged she nearly hurled her phone across the room.
The past few days had been utterly miserable for her. Finnian had stationed two bodyguards to monitor her every move. She could leave the house, but approaching Amara was strictly forbidden.
If she so much as hinted at going near the girl, the guards would immediately intercept her and report straight to Finnian.
But time was running out. Amara was carrying Finnian's child and flatly refused to terminate the pregnancy. In a few months, that bastard was going to be born. The thought drove Emma insane with anxiety.
With Liliana off filming on another set, Emma didn't even have her favorite confidante to strategize with.
Thinking about Amara's growing belly, a dark, venomous glint flickered in her eyes.
She had to handle this problem. Now.
Her eyes blatantly drifted down to Amara's stomach. She had to be at least four months pregnant by now. Were they still together despite that?
If they were, didn't that mean a wedding was right around the corner?
The mere possibility filled her with a burning, suffocating rage.
Amara gave her a freezing look. "That's my private business. It has absolutely nothing to do with you, so back off."
She silently assessed the spoiled girl, realizing Antonia clearly had no idea the baby belonged to Finnian.
Thank God for that. If Antonia knew the truth, she would have undoubtedly set the entire studio on fire by now.
