Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 810

Even if he hadn't physically cheated, harboring romantic feelings for two women simultaneously was a sickening dealbreaker. In her mind, Finnian was already completely dead to her.

She met his gaze with glacial indifference. "Nothing happened. I simply realized our dynamic was crossing a line, and it's time we instituted some boundaries."

She tilted her chin up, delivering the fatal blow. "Let me make this crystal clear, boss. I am pregnant, and yes, biologically, this child is yours. But I do not need your financial support, and I certainly don't need you playing father. I am raising this baby entirely on my own."

"You are free of all obligations. You don't owe either of us anything. Just pretend this child never existed."

The sheer corporate sterility of her tone felt like a knife twisting brutally into his ribs.

Finnian's voice cracked, raw with desperation. "This isn't about obligation. I want to build a life with you. I want you, Amara. I am so damn in love with you."

Amara stumbled back a step, a painful tremor ripping through her chest.

How many times had he spewed those pretty words at her? She had lost count. And yet, she couldn't bring herself to believe a single syllable.

Before she could reject him, Keith suddenly appeared.

He had been trying to reach Amara earlier, but his manager had cornered him for an impromptu lecture, trapping him on the other side of the set.

The absolute second he broke free, he rushed over, only to find Finnian completely invading Amara's personal space.

Amara was looking down, a devastating sorrow lingering in her eyes, while Finnian stared at her with a look of pure, shattered heartbreak.

The blatant territorial claim instantly ignited the air between them, the tension snapping like a live wire.

Finnian's eyes darkened with murderous, possessive rage. "Amara was my wife, and she is carrying my child. She belongs by my side. That is an indisputable fact."

"As for you." The billionaire looked the actor up and down with utter, crushing disdain. "You are entirely irrelevant to her. Your own parents despise the very idea of you two together. Do you honestly think you stand a chance against me?"

Stand a chance? Was Finnian publicly declaring a war over her?

Utterly exhausted by their toxic alpha posturing, Amara stepped out from behind Keith. "Can you both just shut up? Half the set is probably out there gossiping about us right now. I'm done with this."
