Antonia looked Amara up and down. As much as she hated to admit it, the woman was breathtaking. With her radiant complexion and stunning features, she could easily rival any top-tier actress in the industry.
Antonia had grown up surrounded by beautiful people, but she had rarely seen any woman who could outshine Amara. As for men, the only ones who even came close in the looks department were Finnian and Keith.
Antonia knew she was gorgeous herself—she wouldn't have made it in show business otherwise. But standing next to Amara, she suddenly felt overwhelmingly plain.
Was this why all these successful men were flocking to her? Were they really just that superficial, hypnotized by a pretty face?
Antonia pulled back her assessing gaze and stared her straight in the eye. "What exactly is going on between you and Finnian?"
During the pre-wedding rehearsal dinner the other night, Antonia had been tied up filming a reality show. Completely out of the loop regarding the explosive fallout between Finnian and Amara, she genuinely believed their relationship had ended the day the divorce papers were signed.
"How is that any of your business?" Amara shot back.
Amara usually had a good temper, but Antonia had been radiating hostility ever since the production started. Faced with someone who openly despised her, Amara wasn't about to put on a polite smile and mince her words.
Antonia choked on her response, her anger flaring. "It's bad enough that you're stringing Keith along, but now you're making moves on Finnian? You're just a promiscuous little gold-digger!"
"I'm looking at you because you're pathetic," Amara said evenly. "I assumed you had some sort of education, but you clearly don't even know what words mean before you spit them out. For someone so proud of being an Everly, you're quite an embarrassment to your family name."
"Excuse me?" Antonia's eyes widened in sheer disbelief. Her heritage was her absolute greatest source of pride. As the most spoiled and treasured child of the dynasty, her status was everything to her. To hear Amara casually call her an embarrassment to the family was an unforgivable offense.
She bit down hard on her lower lip. "You really shouldn't mess with me, Amara. Since you know exactly who I am, you should know exactly what kind of power I hold. Cross me, and I'll make sure you regret it."
Amara didn't bat an eyelash. So what if she was an Everly? Amara had the backing of Mr. Kevin Everly himself.
