Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 900

"..."

Dorian froze. He hadn't expected Amara to suddenly bring that up, and for a moment, he was struck completely speechless.

Amara didn't wait for his answer. "Lucian is sincere. He never lies to Elysia, he treats her with absolute devotion, and most importantly, he respects her. He respects every decision she makes."

"Those are qualities that both you and Finnian entirely lack. Neither of you respects others, which is why neither of you deserves love."

Without giving Dorian another glance, Amara turned on her heel and walked away.

Dorian stood frozen in place, staring at her retreating figure. It took him a long time to pull himself out of his daze.

Amara had only spoken a few sentences, but they struck him like an earthquake. He had never once looked at the situation from that perspective.

He stood by the door for ages, Amara's words echoing relentlessly in his mind.

Minutes passed before he finally snapped back to reality. Slowly, he retreated back inside and sank onto the couch, sitting in silence for a long time.

When Amara got home, panic began to set in. She downed several glasses of water, but her nerves wouldn't settle.

Even though she had won the verbal spar against Dorian, she was terrified underneath.

Would Dorian really tell Finnian about her abortion?

If Finnian found out, he would definitely try to stop her. After all, he had sworn to fight her for legal custody, which meant he desperately wanted this child.

Filled with anxiety, Amara eventually went to sleep. The next day, she skipped the set entirely, choosing to hide out in her villa.

She spent the entire day paralyzed by dread, waiting for Finnian to storm through the door, demand she cancel the abortion, and start a massive screaming match.
