Through this entire ordeal, she had come to realize something. Even though Larry was incredibly traditional and had a serious chauvinistic streak, he wasn't completely blind to right and wrong. He could still be quite fair, so Amara decided to lay all her cards on the table.

Her tone carried a hint of grievance. She truly had been wronged over the past few months, and there was no need to hide that pain in front of Larry. In fact, playing the victim a little wouldn't hurt, considering he was her father.

As Larry listened to her story, his expression predictably darkened.

"If Liliana really did save his life, then I can understand why he treated her so well in the past. But how could they be acting so inappropriately in a hospital room? That's completely out of line!"

Despite what he said out loud, Larry suspected there was more to the story.

Did Finnian really initiate anything with Liliana in that room? Could it have been Liliana throwing herself at him, and Finnian just failing to push her away in time, causing a misunderstanding?

He kept these thoughts to himself, as he didn't know the full truth. Voicing them might inadvertently mislead Amara.

He mulled it over for a moment before saying, "Honestly, Finnian isn't entirely without merit. He seems to be a rather responsible man, he's a great catch, and on top of that, you two already share a child."

"As for his mess with Liliana, didn't he say he cut all ties with her? Finnian isn't a liar. He's a proud man who finds lying beneath him, so there's a high chance he's telling the truth."

After offering his assessment, Larry looked at Amara and continued, "If you think Finnian is decent enough and want to get back together with him, I won't stand in your way."

"And if you do reconcile, you should keep the baby. I'll hand over the controlling interest in the family business to you, just as we discussed."

"But..." His tone shifted as he pressed on, "If you don't want to get back with him, I won't force you. The decision is entirely up to you."

He felt he owed her mother a massive debt he could never repay, so he wanted to make it up to Amara instead.

He wanted his daughter to be happy, to never worry about money, and to have the best things the world had to offer.

So, if Amara truly couldn't bear the thought of spending her life with Finnian, he wouldn't force her.

But the Sullivan Group was his life's work. Having a child out of wedlock would damage the company's reputation, which was why he was using the equity stake as leverage to make her terminate the pregnancy.

What Amara didn't know was that even if she firmly decided against the abortion and insisted on keeping the baby, Larry wouldn't actually donate his shares. He would still give her everything.
