Unemployed Family? Hidden Tycoons Dote On Her novel Chapter 675

Brielle's eyes welled up with tears and she stood there, sniffling softly. She'd witnessed the whole thing unfold, and listening to Lucas pour his heart out like that, she knew he was truly broken-hearted.

Arabella frowned and let out a soft sigh. She thought she'd made her feelings crystal-clear to him, and he'd never given any hint of being upset. It turned out he'd been bottling up all his emotions deep inside and never let her catch a glimpse of what he was going through.

"Is he gonna be okay?" Matthew asked, his voice flat and his expression hard to read.

"Considering how much he's drunk, it's probably best to take him to the hospital. I don't have any medical supplies or pills on me right now," someone pointed out. Given the large amount of alcohol in his system, the hospital was definitely the safest bet.

"Then let's get him to the hospital right away," Brielle said without hesitation.

"Call the emergency line," Matthew told her.

Brielle nodded. "Sure, I'll make the call."

She dialed 911 and carefully explained what had happened. Once she hung up, she said to Arabella, "The ambulance is on its way."

"Good," Arabella replied. She checked Lucas' condition once more and added, "If we get him to the hospital in time, he should pull through."

"That's a huge relief," Brielle said. Even though the ambulance hadn't arrived yet, just hearing Arabella say Lucas would be okay made her feel better.

"You've been keeping an eye on him the whole time," Arabella said, giving Brielle a quick look.

Brielle bit her lip gently and then nodded. "Yeah, I have."

"I could tell he was in a really bad place emotionally. And I'd been getting the wrong idea about the two of you. I always kept calling him your boyfriend and causing a fuss. I felt really bad about it, and I was worried something serious might happen to him, so I followed him," Brielle explained.

"Good thing you did. Otherwise, with the amount he was guzzling today, things could have turned really ugly," Arabella said, still a bit shaken.

In fact, she hadn't noticed any of these things happening at all. And Lucas had misinterpreted the relationship between her and Matthew. She'd only been worried about Matthew's arm because the crowd was so rowdy and he might get hurt again.

She looked at Lucas and let out another sigh.

The ambulance showed up pretty fast and took Lucas away. Since Arabella was there, Lucas calmed down a great deal and cooperated fully.

At the hospital, the doctors treated him right away, and then Lucas fell asleep.

"Let him rest," Arabella said. "He'll be fine once he wakes up."

"Okay, I'll stay here and take care of him. You two can go if you've got other things to do," Brielle said. She noticed that Matthew and Arabella had come together, so she assumed they had plans.

"He drank so much that he won't wake up today," Arabella said. "I'll give Hank a call and let his family handle it."

She patted Brielle on the shoulder. "You're exhausted too. Go home and get some rest."

Brielle bit her lip and then shook her head. "I'm not leaving. I want to stay until he wakes up and I know he's okay. Then I can leave without any worries."

Arabella raised an eyebrow. "Don't blame yourself. This isn't your fault."

"I know, but I'm just really worried," Brielle said, looking conflicted. She didn't know why, but she just couldn't shake off the worry.
