But that was his only message. Three or four more days passed, and Charlene still hadn't received a call from Thorne to schedule their appointment at City Hall.
It had been over a week since Thorne returned to the country, yet he had made no move to finalize the divorce. Both the Hawkins family and the Spencers were aware of this. They also knew that Thorne had barely seen Vesta all week. If he were swamped with work, they could have understood. But from what they gathered, Thorne's week hadn't been particularly busy at all.
Vesta had told them that Thorne's attitude toward Charlene began to shift after he learned about her professional skills. They now suspected he had developed some feelings for her, making him hesitant to let her go. Despite this, the Hawkins and Spencers still believed his feelings for Vesta ran deeper. But now, as the days ticked by, Thorne was neither finalizing the divorce nor spending time with Vesta. His indecisiveness was unsettling. Could it be that Charlene was now important enough to rival Vesta in his heart?
Leah couldn't accept it. "Impossible!" she declared. "How could Charlene ever compare to my sister? There's no way he would choose Charlene over her!"
The others felt the same. While Charlene was talented in the AI field, Vesta excelled not only there but in many other areas as well. She was a captivating woman; how could Charlene possibly compete?
And yet, the facts were undeniable: Thorne was dragging his feet on the divorce and seeing less of Vesta.

Gosh, this is excruciating ! The slow pace made me leave this for over 3 months. Was just taking a peek and not much development. Btw they have now made this into a 3hr 40 min long drama.Available on daily motion under, the name, next chapter without you. But all the other fringe characters such as York Granger Gaylord are missing in the movie. Ending is very satisfying, practical and apt. She chooses to leave thorne and jasmine and be with Stewart. Vesta and family are inter national wanted Criminals. Not sure if they replicate the same on here. As this book is now on the app for more than 9 months, have a feeling it'll be another 6 to 9 months before this is completed!...

I know its ur story and u obviously have ur own plot line and all and have every right to build the story as u like but what writer provide isnt just entertainment, but they shape the narrative of young minds. So I would say that romanticing cheating is, or rather THORNE'S behaviour, wrong for all the reasons..give york a chance ..that will be way more satisfying...again all of this is just my point of view but if charlene and thorne get back together, its not the story im looking for...
