Unknown Divorce Revelation Beyond Time (Charlene and Thorne) novel Chapter 763

However, the crowd had little interest in Vesta's personal drama, and the conversation quickly shifted back to business.

As noon approached, Corinne walked over to Granger just as he finished chatting with an executive. "Care to grab lunch together?"

Granger's tone was polite but unmistakably distant. "My apologies. I already have a lunch meeting."

Corinne didn't look embarrassed in the slightest. "Alright, next time then."

Granger's so-called meeting was entirely fabricated. He ended up having lunch with Charlene's group, safely buffered by the large crowd of attendees.

That evening, after the tech conference officially wrapped up, Charlene and Stewart boarded their flight back to Starfall City.

Granger, Corinne, and Dalton were also scheduled to fly back that night, booking the exact same flight.

Naturally, they all bumped into each other on the plane.

Granger hadn't found many opportunities to actually speak with Charlene over the past two days. Seeing her now lifted his spirits, and he offered a warm smile. "What a coincidence."

Charlene gave a polite nod.

Gaylord, however, was visibly irritated. "Excuse me, coming through."

Just as Granger opened his mouth to reply, Dalton and Leonard walked down the aisle.

"Looks like everyone is here," Leonard noted.

Not wanting to block the aisle, Granger gave Charlene and Stewart a brief nod before heading to his seat.

Dalton hadn't interacted with Charlene at all during the conference. Now, forced face-to-face, he simply greeted Stewart. "Mr. Ferguson."

He treated Charlene as if she were completely invisible.

Stewart's lips twitched as he offered a silent nod.

Leonard's assigned seat happened to be right next to Granger's. Upon discovering this, Corinne immediately asked her brother to swap with her.

Leonard could tell his sister had genuinely developed an interest in Granger over the past two days. He paused. "Are you serious about this?"

Corinne assumed he had seen right through her intentions and was using this icy demeanor to establish boundaries.

Before she could try again, Granger cut her off. "Ms. Lancaster, I am not in the mood for small talk. I plan to get some rest."

Corinne faltered for a second before maintaining her smile. "Alright, I won't bother you then. Have a good rest."

Meanwhile.

Charlene and Stewart were thoroughly exhausted from the non-stop networking. With the late hour catching up to them, they both reclined their seats and fell asleep shortly after takeoff.

Three hours later, the plane touched down safely.

As Charlene, Stewart, and Gaylord dragged their luggage toward the exit, they inevitably crossed paths with Granger and Dalton's group again.

Charlene and Stewart were deep in conversation when they spotted Raleigh approaching Dalton.

It was only then that they realized Raleigh had jumped ship to join Dalton's company.
