"What?" Julian looked confused. "What photo?"

Elara acted equally surprised. "Didn't you send it to me? You don't know?"

"I sent it?"

Julian was even more bewildered. He tried to recall that night, instinctively preparing to shoot back, "Impossible, I..."

That night, he had been with Vivian the entire time. He had completely ignored all of Elara's texts and calls.

Before, he had always used "being busy with work" as an excuse for not noticing them. If he clearly and accurately stated his response status from that night right now, wouldn't he be slapping himself in the face?

Julian froze, slamming the brakes on his sentence just in time.

Elara crossed her arms and leaned back against the doorframe, watching his ever-shifting expressions with great interest. "Remembered now?"

Julian: "..."

Not at all.

Except, he couldn't say that.

"There's been too much going on lately, I don't really remember."

Julian tried his best to make his tone sound less guilty. "What photo? Let me see it."

"You don't remember the photo you sent yourself?" Elara's eyes widened in astonishment. "You haven't sent me any other photos lately either. That doesn't make sense."

Julian's expression turned bizarre. He looked puzzled, then as if a sudden realization had hit him—a realization he vaguely understood but desperately refused to accept, visibly struggling internally.

Elara sneered inwardly. It was exactly as she had guessed.

That photo had been sneakily taken and sent by Vivian, who had immediately deleted the chat history right after.

Julian had probably figured out some of it, but he just didn't want to believe it.

However, Elara's main goal in bringing this up wasn't to force a confrontation right this second, nor was it to make him believe in just a few sentences that Vivian wasn't the sweet innocent girl he thought she was.
