“I’m not sure yet. I’ll only sign up if something actually interests me; otherwise, I’ll just skip it.”
Malory slipped her arm through Ava’s as they walked together. “There’s bound to be something you’ll enjoy. Most of the clubs here are actually pretty interesting. If I come across another one I like later, I might just join that one too.”
Noelle pointed ahead casually. “There’s a Martial Arts Club over there. I’m thinking of trying it out later
Malory turned sharply toward her, eyes wide in surprise. “Martial Arts Club? Since when did you get into that?”
Zoey explained, “Don’t forget, her family owns a martial arts academy. She’s basically grown up with it.”
By that time, Naomi had already completed her registration and rejoined the group, and the girls continued moving forward together.
As expected, Noelle really did head straight for the Martial Arts Club. The booth was dominated by male students, so when a girl stepped up to apply, the recruiter was visibly stunned. He even froze for a moment before stumbling over his words in panic.
Noelle’s expression darkened. “What’s that supposed to mean? Are you underestimating me? Just because I’m a girl doesn’t mean I can’t join your club. That’s just prejudice.”
Without waiting for a response, she picked up one of the demonstration swords placed beside the booth. In an instant, her entire demeanor shifted. She executed a series of sharp, controlled sword movements, then smoothly returned the blade to its sheath in one fluid motion. It all happened in the blink of an eye. She fixed her gaze on him. “So tell me-am I qualified or not?”
The recruiter stood there completely stunned, almost frozen in place. Only when someone nudged him did he finally react. He quickly forced a smile. “Of course! We welcome you gladly! Someone with your skills is exactly what our club needs. I’m honestly very impressed. Truly impressed.”
Malory’s eyes sparkled as she watched, admiration written all over her face.
Ava gave a firm thumbs-up. “Noelle, that was incredible! You really showed everyone what girls can do!”
The surrounding students broke into applause and cheers after witnessing her display. The recruiter wiped his forehead, silently relieved. If he had rejected her, she might have actually knocked him out on the
spot.
Once it became known that a girl had joined the Martial Arts Club, even more students gathered around to sign up. The recruiter was grinning so widely he could hardly contain his excitement.
The group continued on. When Zoey noticed the Chess Club booth, her eyes immediately lit up. “I’m going to join the Chess Club.”
Noelle smiled lightly. “Zoey’s actually studied chess before. She’s really good at it and has even won competitions.”
“Whoa, you all are seriously impressive. Every one of you has hidden talents!”

After saying that, Malory turned to Ava, who still hadn’t chosen a club. “Ava, have you found anything you’re interested in yet?”
Ava simply shook her head.
They moved along, and Naomi eventually signed up for the choir.
“Costume Club! Costume Club! Join the Costume Club! Our president is close friends with Princess Tylissa! She also serves as our advisor and chief designer!”
The Costume Club booth was completely surrounded, packed with students on all sides. Zoey clicked her tongue. “Seriously? Is Tylissa’s name really that influential?”
Standing nearby, Noelle lowered her voice. “Keep it down. That woman has way too many admirers. Don’t let them catch you saying that.”
Ava glanced over at the booth. Based on her experience with traditional clothing design, what they were showing looked more like theatrical costume work than authentic craftsmanship. After a quick look, she lost interest and turned away.
“Poetry Club! Poetry Club! Our vice president is Princess Tylissa! Don’t you want to join? Sign up, and you’ll meet her in person!”
Ava had thought the Costume Club was crowded, but the Poetry Club area was even more chaotic, with students packed tightly together.
Zoey dramatically wiped at the nonexistent sweat on her forehead and exclaimed in disbelief, “This is way too exaggerated!”
Naomi commented, “That’s the power of Tylissa’s name. This is actually nothing. If this were on the Stellar Network, the traffic would be absolutely insane.”
“She’s far too busy to actually run a poetry club. This is clearly just for publicity,” Noelle said flatly.
Malory tossed her hair back. “I would rather die than join the poetry club. Just looking at it gives me a
headache.”
They continued walking, and the clubs in this section were noticeably quieter. At one booth, the recruitment student looked like he was about to fall asleep.
Ava stepped into the calm corner that felt completely disconnected from the noisy crowd and carefully examined the landscape paintings displayed behind the booth, along with several calligraphy works.
Malory tugged gently at Ava’s sleeve and lowered her voice. “Ava, look-there’s basically no one here. This club doesn’t seem popular at all. It’s way too specialized.”
Ava didn’t respond. She simply studied every piece with focused attention.
Malory glanced at the others and muttered, “Don’t tell me Ava’s actually considering joining this super niche club.
