Curtis looked half-dead after the concert and barely had any expression left on his face.

Ryan corrected him on the spot. “Not a girl. My wife.”

Bennie laughed out loud. “You really care about that distinction, huh?”

Even so, he straightened his posture a little and introduced himself properly to Ava, “I’m Bennie. Ryan’s bandmate.”

Curtis looked thoroughly worn out, like he had no energy left for the world. “Curtis.”

Ava nodded to both and spoke with calm sincerity, “Hello. I just recently returned to Capitol Planet, and Ryan focused a lot of his attention on me. If that led to neglecting his work, I apologize. We’ve discussed it, and it won’t impact his schedule anymore.”

Bennie smiled, clearly unconcerned. “There’s no need to be this formal with us-Ryan’s like family. We’ve known each other for over a decade. If something comes up later, we’ll help smooth it over.”

Dolly rolled her eyes. “I wasn’t asking you. I was asking her. Why are you interrupting?”

Not wanting things to turn awkward, Ava answered politely, “Thank you, Dolly. I’m really honored, but I’m not interested in entering the entertainment industry.”

Dolly’s face revealed clear disappointment, but she still wouldn’t give up easily. “Not interested at all? With your appearance, I could make you famous everywhere-across the entire interstellar community. Still not tempted?”

Ava shook her head without hesitation. “No. That isn’t the life I want. Still, thank you for thinking so highly of me.”

Only then did Ryan look slightly relieved. He stared at Dolly with open suspicion. “Trying to poach someone else’s wife is seriously shameless.”

Dolly shot him a look. “Heh. I honestly don’t get how you managed to stumble upon such an incredible treasure.”

The meal carried on after that in a lively mood, and the atmosphere stayed relaxed the whole way through.

Later, Ava found out that Dolly was actually one of the senior executives at Ryan’s company.
