Ava gave it some thought before replying, “I’ve been wanting to try pottery. A friend of mine came before and made a ceramic cup along with a couple of small decorations. They looked amazing.

“She also mentioned the studio was private, which makes things easier. Someone with your looks can’t exactly wander around in public unnoticed.”

“Do you have the location?”

“Give me a second-I’ll ask her.”

While speaking, Ava messaged Naomi, who responded almost immediately.

A short while later, Ava approached Ryan with a smile. “Got it. She sent me the address. Let’s go.”

Together, they made their way to the pottery studio.

Ryan, of course, was thoroughly disguised. When they arrived, the studio had just opened for the day, making them the very

first guests.

The place was run by a husband-and-wife duo-a fashionable young woman and her calm, dependable husband.

The moment they entered, the husband warmly stepped forward to welcome them.

After a brief conversation, Ryan and the husband moved aside to discuss something privately, while the stylish owner happily struck up a conversation with Ava.

Soon after, the husband placed a “Closed for Today” sign outside the front door.

His wife looked at him in confusion before quickly pulling him into the neighboring room. Lowering her voice, she asked, “What exactly are you doing?”

He casually shrugged. “They booked the entire studio. I agreed.”

“But why?”

“Because they’re paying extremely well. These customers are seriously generous.”

Her objections instantly vanished. “How much are we talking about?”

The man raised one hand.

“Five hundred?”

“Five thousand. Once we finish serving them, we’re shutting down for the day and enjoying ourselves.”

Not long after, the couple returned, and Ava immediately noticed the lady boss had become dramatically

more attentive.

With everything prepared, Ava sat down and listened carefully as the owner explained the pottery-making process, even giving her a hands-on demonstration.

At first, she felt certain she understood, but the moment she started working with the clay herself, she realized it was much harder than it looked.

Thankfully, the lady boss stepped in to help. Ava’s first creation wasn’t exactly impressive, but it was acceptable enough.

She turned to glance at Ryan.

Though his face was concealed behind a mask, his tense posture, clay-covered hands, and tightly furrowed brows made his frustration obvious.

The clay simply refused to cooperate with him. Meanwhile, the husband only offered verbal guidance from the sidelines, clearly too intimidated to intervene physically.

Unable to resist, Ava quickly snapped a photo with her Holoband and openly laughed at his struggle.

Ryan curled a finger, signaling her over.

Grinning, she moved beside him. “Do you need help?”

He gestured toward the shapeless lump in front of him. Just as she reached over to help, he suddenly placed both of his hands over hers.

Ava shot him an annoyed look, but Ryan simply looked back at her with smiling eyes.

Sensing the atmosphere, the experienced lady boss immediately dragged her husband away.

Once they were out of earshot, he asked, “Is it really fine to leave them alone like that?”

She sighed. “Seriously? Can’t you tell what’s happening? They’re flirting. What do you expect us to do- stand there and watch? They’ll call us when they’re done.”

Meanwhile, Ava and Ryan behaved like playful children, repeatedly reshaping the same piece of clay as they teased each other.

After enough fooling around, Ava finally said, “Okay, let’s focus. We’re making matching mugs, plus matching bowls and plates.”

The studio owners returned, and this time the pair followed instructions properly. Their finished pieces turned out surprisingly well. Once glazed, all that remained was firing them in the kiln.
