Wait…Why Did Everyone I Love Suddenly Call Me a Bitch?! novel Chapter 79

Chapter 10

Blake turns around and pulls me into the tightest hug.

His arms feel so strong, like he wants to melt me into him.

I hear him laugh against my hair: “I’ve been waiting forever for you to say that.”

That’s when we officially become us.

We move in together-this bright new apartment with huge windows and a balcony.

We spend weekends at furniture stores, building bookshelves, painting the walls this warm yellow color, turning an empty space into something that’s completely ours.

Work calls me back once they see the online drama flip in my favor.

“Mira, we’re so sorry for the misunderstanding. Can you come back ASAP?”

First day back, all the coworkers who gossiped about me are suddenly super apologetic and fake-nice.

“So sorry we judged you”

“We should’ve known better”

Company even gives me a promotion and raise to make up for everything.

My career’s back on track.

Few months later, the court ruling comes down-

Brooklyn has to post public apologies on every platform where she trashed me-pinned to the top for a whole week. Plus she owes me damages for emotional distress.

I get that settlement money.

But I don’t keep it.

Instead, I donate every penny to an anti-cyberbullying foundation.

I want this money to help other people who’ve been through what I went through.

Turning something awful into something good feels like the perfect ending.

This chapter of my life is officially closed.

A year later, Blake and I are in Switzerland,

We’re on top of some mountain-snow everywhere, sunshine blazing.

Suddenly he pulls me to this spot with the most amazing view.

He drops to one knee and pulls out this little velvet box with a gorgeous, simple diamond ring.

“Mira, this past year we’ve been through hell and back. Thank you for staying with me through all of it. Now I want to ask-will you marry me? Let me take care of you forever?”

I’m ugly crying as I nod yes. Random tourists are clapping and cheering for us.

Looking back at everything that happened, I’m actually grateful.

That nightmare was like a filter-it got rid of all the wrong people and left me with the right ones.

It taught me how to set boundaries, showed me what real friendship looks like versus toxic obsession, and what real love is built on-trust and

respect.

Most importantly, it brought me this incredible person who’s worth spending my life with.

I slip on the ring and grin at Blake:
