What She Overheard in Her Own Marriage novel Chapter 584

Pearl stood frozen. Had her good intentions really caused a disaster?

Early the next morning, Finnian received a call from the old estate demanding he return immediately.

As he walked into the living room, Josephine and Elaine were sitting there anxiously, waiting for him.

"Who posted those photos and videos online? Was it Noelle?" Josephine demanded.

Elaine was shaking with rage, her face livid. "What exactly is she trying to do? Does she want to completely destroy the Sanders family's reputation?"

Finnian frowned, completely at a loss for words.

"Let me ask you," Josephine said, staring sternly into his eyes. "Did you two ever do anything to betray Rafael? And by that, I mean even a kiss counts."

Finnian's eyes widened, and he immediately replied, "Of course not."

"Swear it on your brother's portrait, and only then will I believe you." Josephine pointed to Rafael's memorial photo, which had been set up nearby.

Finnian raised his hand. "I swear I never did anything to betray my brother."

Josephine closed her eyes. "What a tragedy for our family. Everything was fine until that seductress ruined it all. I deeply regret ever letting her into this house."

"It's my fault. This is all because of me. If my bag hadn't been snatched, her father wouldn't have saved me, and I wouldn't have brought her home." Elaine buried her face in her hands, tears slipping through her fingers. "I never should have brought her into this family. I should have found her a new home, given her money, and made sure she was taken care of. Then none of this would have happened."

"What's the point of regretting it now? Finnian, you are at fault too. You always took special care of her. Don't think I didn't notice. You might not have crossed the ultimate line, but your behavior lacked all boundaries," Josephine scolded angrily.

Josephine sighed heavily. "Fine. I can't control you. Handle it yourself."

Finnian nodded and walked out. The biting cold wind hit him in the face as he stood in the courtyard, taking a deep breath of the freezing air.

His past kindness toward Noelle had been genuine. He hadn't faked it, and he hadn't acted.

His early understanding of love, affection, and responsibility had all sprouted from his feelings for her. Back then, he had truly indulged her. He wouldn't deny it, nor would he try to hide it.

Perhaps it was finally time to sever ties completely.

At the hospital, Finnian pushed the door open. Noelle's eyes were red and swollen. Seeing his tall, elegant figure, a familiar sense of dependency washed over her. She called out weakly, "Finnian..."
