When The Moon Hides Her Crown (Seraphina) by Pooja novel Chapter 266

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW

What the hell is this place?Austin muttered under his breath, taking a shaky breath as he stood in front of the large metal door. Beyond it, all he could see was thick mist. He had followed Alpha King Charles here, but he never expected to end up in such an eerie place.

His wolf could sense something ahead, something dangerous, something sinful. Every instinct screamed at him to turn back, but his mind only remembered his Alpha’s command.

Before he could secondguess himself, Austin found himself climbing over a large metal door and leaping into the mist. Shifting into his wolf form, he moved cautiously through the thick fog, following the faint trace of Charlesscent. With every step, hesitation clawed at him, and his own breathing seemed unnaturally loud in the unnatural silence. The mist seemed to swallow him whole, making it harder to see, harder to breathe.

Then, without warning, Charlesscent vanished.

Austin froze, his body tensing as his eyes darted in every direction, desperately searching for any sign of the Alpha. That was when something caught his attention, something far more disturbing.

What the fuck?His stomach dropped.

The sky above him looked as if it had been painted with blood. It was unnaturally red, its hue deepening as if the sky itself was closing in on him, getting closer, tighter, like a trap.

A chill ran down his spine, but before he could react, he noticed something strange. A child- like figure running in the distance, stumbling toward him. Austin’s instincts screamed, but something about the sight of it, the desperation of the child’s movements, made him hesitate. Because it was his own childhood.

Am I hallucinating?

He glanced down at his paws, feeling the ground shift beneath him, his wolf’s instincts clawing at him to run, to escape this endless mist. It felt like he was walking in circles, unable to find his way out.

And just as it seemed the mist would consume him, a faint light caught his eye.

Firefly!Austin’s wolf perked up. Something good in this strange mist.

He sprinted toward the light, the mist around him thinning with every step. Eventually, he found himself standing in front of another door, this one slightly ajar.

Shifting back to human form, he breathed heavily, staring into the darkness ahead. The scent of King Charles was unmistakably coming from within.

Chapter 266 A Ritual

What the hell made him come into this creepy place?Austin muttered to himself.

He quickly donned his clothes, making sure not to make a sound, concealing his scent and aura as best as he could. Using his wolf vision, he tried to make out his surroundings. It felt like he was in some sort of enclosed space, the air thick and musty, as though the place hadn’t been disturbed in years.

His eyes flicked nervously around the dimly lit room until he saw the faint glow from further down the space. He walked casually, but with purpose, toward it, only to find himself in a grand yet eerie room.

What the hell is this place?he whispered under his breath, his heart pounding as the strange atmosphere pressed in around him. Black curtains, long and flowing, swayed gently in the air. Between them, on a raised platform, burned a strange black fire. The energy emanating from it unsettled Austin’s wolf to the point that he instinctively took a step back.

That’s when he saw him, Alpha King Charles.

Austin immediately ducked behind a pillar, held his breath, his eyes cautiously peered out. He intently watched Charles, confused and intrigued.

What is he doing?he muttered to himself as he saw the Alpha King approach a large, long sword thrust into a pillar, his fingers brushing the blade, as if he were communicating with it in some way.

Charles tapped the sword once on the ground before dragging it across the floor toward the other side of the room. The sword itself shimmered with a strange black mist swirling around its edges. Austin watched, confused and unsettled, as Charles paused in the middle of the burning black fire.

Is he performing some kind of black magic?Austin frowned, wondering what Charles was doing. The Alpha stared into the black fire, seemingly lost in its glow, until he suddenly yanked the sword upward and beheaded himself.

Austin’s eyes nearly popped out of his head. His entire body froze in place as a thick stream of blood began to spread around Charles’s fallen body, his head rolling to the ground with a sickening thud. His body collapsed beside it.

The room fell into an eerie silence, and Austin couldn’t remember how to breathe. For a moment, he was paralyzed, unable to process what had just happened until Charles’s blood began to move.

Every drop of blood seemed to gather and trail toward the raised platform, Austin’s heart pounding in dread as he watched in horror. The blood flowed into the burning fire, and before he could even react, the flames violently flared.

Austin gasped, horrified, as the black curtains began to burn, flowing like molten lava.

Panic seized him. In that moment he realized what Charles had done was not a black magic but a ritual.

He turned and bolted toward the exit, glancing back just in time to see the black fire take shape, a shape that was all too familiar, something that made his blood run cold.

His heart pounded in his chest as he ran faster, mindlinking Finn desperately. ALPHA! ALPHA IT IS

Only before he could finish the thought, a figure appeared in front of him, that his body painfully and violently slammed into. He gasped, vomiting blood, but to his horror, his tongue came out with it.

His vision blurred with shock as he trembled uncontrollably, sweat pouring down his face. Raising his gaze, he found himself staring at the man who he saw Ryker leaving the academy in the footage. The man raised his hand next and ripped Austin’s chest off.

Back in the clearing, Alpha Gideon was trying to calm the Council down once again when he saw Alpha Darious returning with the shewolves.

Alpha Darious? I thought you left,” Gideon asked, his voice a mixture of confusion and

concern.

We couldn’t leave the territory for some strange reason,” Darious replied, a frown tugging at his lips.

Everyone’s gaze shifted to Aran.

I lifted the spell as soon as Silas arrived,” Aran explained, getting to his feet with a frown. “I didn’t cast any further spells,” he added quickly. Using his powers, he tried to find out what was preventing them from leaving the territory. But the moment his magic touched the source of the block, he recoiled in agony. Thunder and lightning split the sky above them, and Aran staggered, vomiting blood as he collapsed to his knees.
