THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW
Everyone in the clearing stood in silence, most of them had tears in their eyes listening to the eternal love of Seraphina and Ronan.
“Then why…” Asher and Finn started locking eyes with each other, “Why do I feel as if I witnessed everything with my own eyes?” They finished in unison, their voices shaking with the realization of something deep.
Aran and Felix looked at them as Aran revealed to Finn, "Because you were Blood Petal’s keeper, Alpha Finn. You were the demonic energy in that flower garden for thousands of years that was also attached to Blood Petal. You have no relation to her but it seems she had subconsciously created a connection with you. More like a friend. You never appeared in physical form but you were always there for her, you withdrew after losing her. You were her keeper that kept her secrets about meeting Dread Lord and kept her trust and innocence safe.”
Finn stood stunned, every fiber of him reliving what Aran said.
“And you were the curse flowing in the river down the cliff, Alpha Asher,” Felix revealed, shocking Asher to no end, “The curse that Dread Lord used to meet Blood Petal in the dream from his end. You were Blood Petal’s protector that did not let Blood Petal drown in the river and dropped her on Dread Lord’s land. You summoned and let Dread Lord take over the river when she jumped down and was about to hit the rock. You were attached to Blood Petal in a way that is hard to explain. You withdrew from the river with the loss of Blood Petal.”
Asher’s heart quickened with the flash of his memories.
Finn and Asher both looked at each other as the bond between them from that trial echoed in their mind…serendipity.
“That year during the ritual, it was not just Dread Lord who woke up in that ritual. In choosing to prevent a miscarriage Alpha Magnus’ Luna, woke up the Demon King, you Alpha Finn, and in Luna Victoria’s belly woke up the King of Curse, Alpha Asher,” Felix revealed.
Every soul listening in the clearing had their eyes on Finn and Asher who were lost in the revelation of themselves. The undeniable attraction to Seraphina, and the bond finally made sense.
Jude broke the silence. “If Dread Lord and Blood Petal were not meant to fall in love with each other, then why were they soulmates?”
“Because the Goddess who cried and the God of Death, Dread Lord’s father, were lovers,” Felix revealed.
“What?” Everyone looked at him, stunned.
Felix nodded, his gaze dropping to his hand. “When Dread Lord’s mother abandoned him in my arms, she confessed that she had tricked the God of Death into sleeping with her by using the face of the Goddess. She was a woman banished from the heavens and wanted to mess with the heavens by destroying the lovers. But her actions destroyed the relationship between the Goddess and the God of Death. Their bond was already forbidden, one was a destroyer, the other a savior. However, the Goddess couldn’t bear the heartbreak caused by the God of Death. She chose self-punishment, to forget him, and vowed never to fall in love again. She disappeared into the tears of heartbreak she shed, forgetting everything about Dread Lord. What she didn’t know was that the God of Death had also chosen self-punishment, shaped by her hatred, and had already been born into the womb of the Lycan female who tricked him.”
Felix paused, his voice growing heavier. “When the Lycan female gave birth to the God of Death, her fate was sealed. She saw her own death in his eyes, which is why she abandoned him and shortly died afterward. Both the Goddess and the God of Death were heartbroken. The destiny of never falling in love was the Goddess’ choice, but what could be done when, even without knowing each other, they still fell in love? And due to their subconscious love for one another, their souls were always tied together. They were soulmates.”
