THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW
“Alpha Asher!”
The hall fell into stunned silence as Asher tore Percy in two. The onlookers froze in place, their hearts pounding with terror at how effortlessly he had ripped the evil entity apart, an entity that had been moments away from turning them all into a bloody mess.
Asher silently shifted his gaze to Seraphina, the weight of centuries of unspoken memories passing between them. His growing attraction to her when they first met again at Lupine Academy finally made sense to him. Then, his eyes moved to Ronan, who was battling the dark smoke that swarmed around him, attacking from all directions in an attempt to reach Seraphina. Since Ronan was by her side, Asher knew his assistance was unnecessary.
“Well, well, what do we have here?” Ryker chuckled, eyeing Asher from head to toe. “The King of Curses? No wonder I’ve always felt this overwhelming hatred towards you, even though I couldn't understand why.”
“Same,” Asher replied, casually waving his hand to rid it of Percy’s dark blood. “I hated you the moment I saw you, even though you tried to hide your bloodline just like I did. But I don’t fucking buy that we share the same bloodline or that you’re my fucking ancestor, just because Charles was the Alpha King.”
Ryker’s chuckle faded, his eyes turning colder. “Of course not. How could my descendant be born with a curse? I never had offspring to begin with. The curse of rotting prevented me from creating another of my kind. All the kings I placed on the throne were just puppets from the Blackwood bloodline, my worshipers nine hundred years ago. No wonder Charles hid from me that he had a son with such an abnormal power. And now, it’s no surprise that he arranged Seraphina’s marriage to you. If she’d married you, I would never have found her once you had marked her as yours. Charles played a great game and when he failed to prevent Seraphina from falling in love with others, which was his actual duty, he got scared and forced the marriage agreement trying to marry her to you so that he could save himself from me. He thought he would continue as king. Only Charles didn’t realize the game he was playing was a losing one...and in the end, the pathetic fool had to sacrifice himself to atone for his sins,” he paused, his gaze dropping to the two pieces of Percy on the ground. “But it’s a surprise, isn’t it? The King of Curses born from a werewolf womb and tangled with me, Ronan’s friend, my enemy. But anything can happen when heaven decides to play dirty.”
He grinned, slowly meeting Asher’s eyes with a dark, predatory gleam. “However, I, Ryker Wraithe, who even defied death, will defy heaven itself this time.” His smile widened, the menace in his words clear. “Everyone standing with Seraphina will die.”
As he spoke, Alpha Jude noticed Percy stirring. “He’s not…he’s…”
Alpha Darious, Spencer, and everyone else instantly tensed, backing away as their eyes widened in disbelief.
With a twisted screech Percy’s torn form instantly reanimated each half rising as separate entities, both burning with the same dark aura.
Asher immediately blocked Percy’s attack with one of his hands. During his struggle with the swirling darkness, Ronan’s eyes snapped to Asher, who was now fighting two Percys. Using his curse energy, Asher distracted one of the Percys and launched a brutal attack on the other, tearing open his head from the torso. However, the moment Percy dropped dead, another Percy arose from the fallen one. Now Asher had to fight three Percys.
“Why are you so worried when you’re the one with all the power?” Ronan smirked back. “Why worry about someone you believe is powerless and helpless?”

His blood boiled when he realized, she was performing a ritual under the moon.
