“Wait…what is she doing?” Silas gasped, his voice filled with horror.

“Is she…” Aran’s heart sank, recognizing the ritual she was performing.

“NO!!! PETAL!!” Both Silas and Aran cried in unison, rushing toward her in a desperate attempt to stop her.

Just then, Finn intervened, blocking their path. With a swift motion, he threw both Silas and Aran out of the darkness with his powers.

Ronan suddenly felt as if the world had gone completely silent the moment he slammed his hand onto the ground, using his powers. The only person who could dare to do this was….

He glanced at Asher, who had blocked his hearing. Ronan’s expression darkened, meeting Asher’s gaze, sensing that something was wrong. Finn’s unexpected action, throwing Aran and Silas out of the darkness, had already raised his suspicions. Ronan’s violet eyes snapped to Seraphina, his heart skipping a beat as he saw her being consumed by Ryker’s darkness.

“SEREAPHINA!!” Roaring, he charged towards her as her golden and white aura flared brightly as she locked eyes with him, completing her words:

“Offer myself up to the heavens.”

Ryker’s darkness, having swallowed Seraphina, exploded instantly. It was drawn upward toward the sky by her divine energy, swirling violently as if the very realm itself was caught in

“NOOOO!!!!” Ryker’s scream shattered the silence, a guttural wail that echoed through the fabric of reality. He tried to fight her power but the more he struggled the more he accelerated, struggled and defeated. “SERAPHINA!!!” he screamed angrily.

The earth beneath him cracked, the skies above warping in response to the unbearable agony.

His dark power, once unstoppable, was consumed by her light, his form imploding under the weight of it. The scream intensified, a sound that seemed to tear apart the world itself, until suddenly it ceased.

In the stillness that followed, Ryker was gone. His darkness, his soul, his very essence obliterated. The shadows that had clung to him dissolved into nothingness, leaving only silence and the faintest trace of his final cry.

Seraphina’s white and golden energy slowly calmed as she stood amidst the quiet, the battle fading around her, the world healing in the wake of his destruction. Ryker, the architect of so much pain and chaos, was no more.

Ronan remained frozen, his gaze fixed on the shadow of the white flower that slowly faded behind her. They both stared at each other in the dead silence, but their hearts mirrored each other.

“What did you mean by offering yourself?” he whispered, his voice trembling.

Seraphina’s heart ached, feeling his broken heart as her own tears gathered in her eyes. She walked toward him, her voice barely above a whisper, “The Blood Petal is finally accepting her destiny, Ronan.”

Ronan’s heart shattered when she called herself Blood Petal. The sky above her thundered as if opening its mouth to call her home. He shook his head in denial. “No…” he decreased the distance between the two of them and wrapped his arms around her as if to chain her to him, “We are going home. We will cook together. We will go on a date. Plus, you owe me a wedding. There are so many things to do. Let’s just go home,”

“Ronan,” she softly whispered, her tears silently slipping free as she shook her head. “I have to go.”

“NO!!” Ronan shouted, holding on to her even tighter, “Why do you have to go?! Why? You are breaking your promise. You always leave me. You always…” his voice broke, as his own eyes watered, “Please, no-”

Seraphina reached out, gently touching his cheek. “I once wondered…if the Goddess had fallen in love with her mate, would she still be heartbroken?” tears follow like rivers from her eyes, her fingers brushing his skin. “Now I know the answer.” The mark between her brows began to fade. “I’m not heartbroken.”

Ronan broke down into tears, as he cradled her against him, desperation flooding his chest. “You can’t leave me. Take me with you! I’ll go with you!”

Seraphina’s tears soaked his chest as she grew limp in his arms, her breathing slowing. “Ronan…” she whispered weakly.
