When The Moon Hides Her Crown (Seraphina) by Pooja novel Chapter 314

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW

Exiting the bedroom, Seraphina walked down the hallway of the ruins with Ronan by her side when Lily appeared, her eyes already filled with tears.

“Seraphina,” Lily called, her voice trembling.

“Lily!” Seraphina’s own emotions surged as she rushed toward her.

Ronan slowly released Seraphina’s hand. “I’ll wait outside,” he said softly before stepping away, leaving the two women together.

Lily ran to her, enveloping Seraphina in a tight, sobbing hug. “I thought I lost you. I was so scared.”

Seraphina wrapped her arms around her friend, her heart heavy, “I’m fine now, Lily. Don’t cry.”

Lily pulled back, her face clouded with worry. “Are you sure you’re okay? Your dad...he’s...” She faltered, her voice breaking as her eyes met Seraphina’s, knowing Alpha Darious’ body had vanished with Ryker’s dark magic, never to be found.

Seraphina’s heart clenched. Her eyes grew misty, and the memory of her father’s smile flashed before her, breaking her all over again. Tears rolled down her cheeks, despite her best efforts to hold them back.

“I’m so sorry for your loss, Seraphina,” Lily whispered through her own sobs.

Seraphina wiped her tears away, taking a shaky breath. “I haven’t lost him. He’s with my mom, in heaven. They’re together now... finally. He’s with the love of his life, the soulmate he always longed for.” Her voice softened as she gazed at the sky through the window. “They’re finally together and happy.”

The weight of losing her only remaining family member was still raw, but Seraphina forced herself to focus on the peace her father had now found. It was the only way she could calm the storm within her heart.

Lily wiped her eyes and pulled Seraphina into another hug. “Thank you for saving me, for bringing me back to life,” she whispered gratefully.

Seraphina smiled, pulling away. “Don’t think about it too much. By the way, Grace and a few others are still missing. Can you check on them and let me know as soon as you can?”

Lily nodded, determination in her eyes. “Don’t worry. I’ll find them right away.”

“Thank you,” Seraphina said, offering a warm smile as Lily walked away.

Seraphina exited the hallway, searching for Ronan, but as soon as she reached the broken fountain, she was met by a group of people waiting for her, eager and concerned. Her protectors surrounded her, their eyes filled with tears as they asked if she was alright.

Seraphina’s heart swelled. Time had not touched them; they were still the same, loyal and unwavering, just as they had been nine hundred years ago. As much as she had changed, in this moment, she finally felt like she was home again.

“Alpha Queen, Seraphina,” Austin stepped forward and bowed respectfully. “You saved me despite my bad attitude. I am sorry for everything, my Queen. I beg for your forgiveness and thank you for saving my life.” His voice trembled with genuine regret.

Seraphina smiled warmly, shaking her head. “Don’t worry, Austin. I only remember the good things,” she replied, her voice soft with reassurance.

Austin’s lips curled into a smile, his heart clearly lighter. Seraphina turned to Mace, who had been standing nearby. Mace gave a deep bow, his face bright with a warm smile.

“My Queen,” he greeted her, his voice full of respect and affection.

Mace walked closer, pulling out a small box from his pocket. “Alpha Darious left this for you,” he said, his eyes sincere.

The soft tone in her voice and the concern in her eyes made it impossible for Ronan to refuse. He sighed and kissed her forehead before replying. “Alright,” he teased, though his voice held a hint of affection.

“I’ll be back shortly,” he promised before turning to follow Felix.

Seraphina’s heart finally settled when he agreed. She watched him go, but just as she was about to turn, a familiar scent caught her attention. She looked to the side, as she saw a face she knew all too well. Asher/

“Asher, I thought you left.” she gasped in surprise before breaking in smile.

He smiled back as they walked toward each other.

Asher tilted his head, his lips curving slightly. “Well, I wouldn’t call it a blessing.”

Seraphina’s smile faltered. Was he angry with her because of their arranged marriage or the fight they’d had? Or…?

“I’d call us a crazy pair of friends,” Asher’s words interrupted her restless thoughts.

Seraphina giggled, her smile returning. “Yeah, a crazy pair of friends.”
