When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 191

That made sense. Men could be oblivious, especially about themselves.

But for some reason, Henrietta's heart began to race too. "Yes, you should change into a suit," she urged.

Yosef seemed intrigued by the suggestion, as if it were a novel idea. He'd had plenty of video conferences before, some of them in his bathrobe right after a shower. It wasn't common, but it happened. They were his employees, after all; formality wasn't always necessary.

Yosef watched her in silence for a few seconds before finally nodding. "Alright."

With that, he turned and walked into the dressing room to change.

Only after he was gone did Henrietta realize what she'd done. Had she just... ordered him around?

She had! No wonder he'd paused and gone quiet for a moment. He probably wasn't used to being given orders by anyone.

Henrietta rubbed her face, a small smile playing on her lips. She had to give herself credit for having the audacity to command such a powerful man.

A few moments later, Yosef emerged, heading back toward the bedroom. He was carrying his suit jacket and a tie. "Do I need the tie?" he asked as he walked.

Henrietta felt a blush creep up her neck. "Probably not," she said, swinging her legs off the bed. She walked over to him and took the jacket from his hand, wanting to help him put it on. It felt like a small way to do something for him.

Yosef raised an eyebrow but tossed the tie onto a nearby sofa. "Okay," he agreed, allowing her to help him into the jacket.

As she smoothed the fabric over his shoulders, she asked, "Will Cheryl be in the meeting with you?"

"Yes," Yosef nodded. "She's responsible for taking notes and compiling them."

He paused, then added, "Do you dislike her?"

Henrietta's hands faltered for a second. "No, not at all," she replied.

It was perfectly understandable if Cheryl had feelings for him. He certainly had a captivating charm that could make anyone fall for him. She couldn't hate Cheryl just for that. It was Cheryl's own business.

"You don't need to worry about her," Yosef said. "She's my subordinate. You're the lady of the house."

His words were instantly reassuring. Henrietta bit her lip and nodded. "Okay."

She then asked, "Is she... very good at her job?"

"She's decent," Yosef said with a fair assessment. "She has her strengths. An eidetic memory. She never forgets anything she's seen or heard and can repeat it word for word."

Henrietta's eyebrows rose slowly. She'd never imagined Cheryl possessed such a talent. Well, that explained her air of arrogance. A gift like that made her an indispensable aide to someone like Yosef. He needed people with those skills.

Henrietta's eyes widened slightly as she absorbed his words. "You're right." It felt like she was getting a masterclass from a titan of industry.

"So, why would you compare yourself to her?" Yosef added. "There's no comparison at all."

A warmth spread through her chest. She looked up at him. "Really?"

"Of course," he said, his voice low but certain. He raised a hand to smooth her hair back from her face. "Core competency and core value are your real strengths. And irreplaceability is king."

Perhaps it was his magnetic presence, but she found herself asking a rather silly follow-up question. "Do you think I'm irreplaceable?"

The question made him smile. Henrietta felt her cheeks flush and looked down.

Yosef gently cupped her head. "Without a doubt. There's only one you in this world."

"Okay," she murmured, nodding. From the moment he had appeared today, she'd felt a warmth and ease she hadn't experienced before.

She kept her eyes lowered, continuing to fix his collar. This had taken up a few minutes, and she didn't want to make him late for his meeting. She quickly straightened his collar and said, "There. You should go to your meeting now."

Yosef grunted in agreement but didn't move. Instead, he lowered his gaze, his eyes fixed on the beautiful woman standing before him.
