When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 255

But she still hated Henrietta with a burning passion. Hated her for being lucky enough to marry Yosef, to rise to a position so far above everyone else, a position she could never hope to reach. That was the position of the city’s ultimate power couple—the true Queen of Juno City!

And she hated Henrietta for running into her at the hospital, for causing her current misery. No, no! She had to find a way to turn this around. There had to be a way.

Wait! Artina suddenly remembered. The villa and the cars were in her name! That meant they were hers! At least she hadn't lost everything. An eighty-million-dollar villa and cars worth several million… and an unlimited credit card.

The card could be cancelled at any time, but there was still… the necklace! Yes! The necklace around her neck was worth over ten million dollars, and Jethro hadn’t taken it back yesterday. He probably wouldn't. After all, that was pocket change to him.

At the thought, Artina didn't know whether to laugh or cry. They had only been together for two short weeks, and he had given her so much. And yet, she had lost him. A genuine wave of sadness washed over her for a few seconds before she quickly took off the necklace and hid it in her bag.

Now… she had to go to the villa. The deed was still there. She needed to get the deed and take the cars. They were all hers! Altogether, it was nearly a hundred million dollars! For her, that was an immense fortune. Once she had it all, if Jethro still wouldn't reconcile with her, she would sell everything in a few months. With a hundred million in hand, she would be a top-tier wealthy woman.

With that thought, Artina immediately started her car.

When she reached the villa community, however, she was stopped at the gate. The security guard said her car wasn't registered and she wasn't a resident, so she couldn't enter.

“Of course I'm a resident!” Artina snapped. “Why else would I be here? My property deed is in the villa! Just check. It's the main estate at Number One Royal Crest. That's my house!”

The guard looked skeptical. “Judging by the car you’re driving and the way you’re dressed, you don’t look like someone who can afford a house here.”

This was The Royal Crest Estates, one of Juno City’s most exclusive villa communities, developed years ago by the Y-N Group.

When Jethro had brought her here, no one dared question her clothes or her car. But now she was alone, and the guards who recognized her were probably off-shift. Dressed plainly, driving an average car, and not registered—who would let her in?

Artina’s temper flared. “You damn snob! Just check the records and you’ll see! I’m Jethro’s wife! I’ll give you three seconds to check, or you’ll regret it!” She pulled out her ID and threw it at the guard’s face.

Her arrogant demeanor actually intimidated him. He turned to check the system. When he returned, his face was dark. “The owner of Building One is Jethro Nash. This has nothing to do with you. Get lost!” He threw her ID back at her.

Artina was apoplectic. “I’m his wife!”

“Says who?” the guard retorted. “And even if you are, your name’s not on the deed. Your car isn't registered, your face isn't in the system. You have no information here. Scram! If you don’t leave now, I’m calling for backup!”

“It’s alright,” Artina said. “I’ll wait for him.”

“Very well,” Secretary Lan nodded. “This way, please.”

She led Artina to the Dean’s office, and Artina sat down in Jethro’s chair.

“Would you like anything to eat or drink?” Secretary Lan asked, pointing to a side door. “There’s a lounge if you’d like to rest.”

Artina didn’t want to seem too presumptuous. “It’s fine, I’m okay. You can go back to your work, don’t worry about me.”

Secretary Lan nodded and withdrew.

Meanwhile, on set, Matteo Coleman was struggling to film his scenes.
