Jethro didn't tell Leticia the whole truth because he was afraid she couldn't keep it to herself. He had promised Henrietta he wouldn't reveal a thing for the time being.
Once they were outside the manor, Artina said through her tears, "I'm so sorry, Leticia. I got you yelled at. Even though he'll never forgive me, I… I did everything I could. I know I wronged him… but he won't give me a chance to make it right. There's nothing more I can do."
Leticia sighed and comforted her. "Let Jethro cool down for a while. For now, just focus on yourself. Just focus on your own life for now. When you’re at your best, everything else will fall into place."
Artina's crying intensified. "Leticia, you're the best, kindest girl in the world! I'll… I'll drive you home. But we shouldn't see each other anymore. I don't want to cause you any more trouble."
Leticia sighed again. "It's fine. We can just be in touch secretly. You're an actress, a star. I'm just a fan."
Artina was deeply moved. "Thank you, thank you so much. You're too good to me!"
Meanwhile, two hours before the end of the workday, Henrietta gathered her team and headed over to reclaim the villa.
Matteo, of course, had to be there. Charlotte had called him, and he was now in the car with her, heading back to the property.
On the way, Matteo asked Charlotte, "Whose baby is Artina carrying? And how is she? The Nash family is not someone she can afford to cross."
Charlotte rolled her eyes. He was a real piece of work, acting concerned and asking whose baby it was. Suppressing her disgust, she sneered, "Whose baby? Some lowlife's bastard, I'm sure! I don't know the details, but I can guarantee she's not having a good time."
Matteo's face went pale. "If she gets taken down, what happens to the movie? We're almost done filming... If it gets scrapped because of her, the losses will be huge."
Charlotte knew he was just fishing for information. "Henrietta knows how to handle that. Why are you so concerned?"
Matteo fell silent. It was true; there was nothing he could do. All he could do was wait on pins and needles. Saying any more might expose him.
After a few moments of silence, he couldn't help but ask again, "Ms. Tatum, do you have any idea why Henrietta was so insistent on breaking up with me, refusing to reconcile, and then marrying someone else? I really don't get it. Was it just because I forgot to wish her a happy birthday?"
Inside, Pamela Lynn and Dexter Coleman were waiting. The moment Pamela heard Henrietta was coming to take the house, she flew into a frenzy, grabbing a kitchen knife and preparing for a fight to the death.
Soon, Henrietta arrived with her entourage. Charlotte got out of the car and quickly relayed her conversation with Matteo.
Henrietta nodded. "Got it."
Charlotte followed her inside. They were met with the shocking sight of Pamela brandishing the knife at them. "This is my son's house!" she shrieked. "His name is on the deed! No one is going to bully my son!"
Then, her gaze fell on Henrietta, and she burst into tears. "Henrietta, even if you've married someone else, you don't have to be so cruel! This isn't even legal! The deed is in both your names, so it's half his, at least. But you're so rich! It's just one house, do you really have to be like this? Are you trying to drive us into the ground? You were together for four, five years. Henrietta, I'm begging you!"
The villa was worth a fortune. It was purchased for over eight million, but the renovation was the real expense. The high-end furnishings, fixtures, antiques, paintings, and vases brought the total value to nearly twenty million. Pamela wanted it all, not just the house itself but all the valuable antiques Henrietta had placed inside.
Just then, Henrietta's phone rang. She glanced at it. It was Yosef.
