Zelina sang her praises. "Of course! Henrietta handled this perfectly! Her composure was flawless. And her attitude from the beginning made it clear that something was very wrong with that Artina! But you, my boy, were too blinded by love. In any case, you must thank Henrietta properly."
"I will," Jethro nodded.
From that moment on, his respect for Henrietta was absolute.
Zelina took a few bites, then frowned suddenly. "But... why didn't Henrietta tell you from the start?"
This brought up another question.
Jethro replied, "Henrietta had her reasons, and I completely understand them. I don't blame her at all. Mom, it's a very complicated situation. You'll understand when the truth comes out in a while."
"All you need to know is that Henrietta is wonderful, and we truly owe her our thanks."
"Oh." Zelina blinked and nodded. "Okay. So, your brother knows everything too?"
"Yes," Jethro confirmed.
Zelina pouted. "You all... have made things so complicated. But it sounds kind of fun. Are you sure you don't want to let me in on it?"
Jethro gave a helpless, bitter smile. "Mom... please, just stay out of it."
"Fine," Zelina shrugged. "I need to make a trip to Elysium Manor."
Jethro put down his knife and fork. "What for?"
"I'm going to thank Henrietta, of course! And tell her how amazing she is!" Zelina declared.
Jethro's lips curved into a smile. "Okay, good. Go ahead."
And so Zelina went, as promised.
She had always been incredibly fond of Henrietta, and now her affection had deepened even further.
By the time Zelina arrived at Elysium Manor, it was already eleven in the morning.
She entered the main hall and asked after the couple, only to learn they hadn't gotten up yet!
A wide grin spread across Zelina's face. She decided to wait.
Who knew that 'waiting' would last until twelve-thirty in the afternoon?
As she watched the two of them descend the stairs, Zelina stroked her chin.
Her son’s stamina was staggering! It seemed thirty-one years of restraint had only served to fuel a hunger that was now burning out of control.
It seemed grandchildren were already on their way. Things were looking very hopeful!
It was Saturday, so Yosef hadn't gone to the office. He had indeed spent the morning shamelessly entangled with Henrietta several times...
Hendrietta's back was so sore it felt like it didn't belong to her.
Coming downstairs and seeing Zelina, she was surprised and a little embarrassed. She hurried over. "Mom, when did you get here?"
Zelina beamed. "Oh, not long. Just over an hour."
Hendrietta's face flushed inexplicably. "Please, sit down," she urged.
Yosef also approached and offered a polite greeting. "Mom."
