When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 277

Sabrina was beaming with delight. What mother wouldn't be thrilled to see her son-in-law dote on her daughter?

Yosef finished peeling the orange, separated a segment, and naturally popped it into Henrietta's mouth. As she came back to her senses, she heard him ask, "Is it sweet?"

Henrietta nodded. "Very sweet. You try some." She reached over, took a segment from the orange in his hand, and placed it in his mouth.

Yosef tasted it, a slow smile spreading across his lips. "Mm, it is very sweet." His gaze, deep and intense, rested on her face, and she knew he wasn't just talking about the orange. He always did this—appearing so aloof and powerful, every bit the top-tier magnate, yet secretly teasing and flirting in these subtle ways. Just last night, when they got home from the film set, he had pinned her against the wall of the master bedroom before the lights were even on…

A blush crept up Henrietta's cheeks. She quickly peeled another segment and pushed it into his mouth. "If it's sweet, then have some more."

Yosef's smile widened. "Alright. As my wife wishes, I will certainly have more."

Her face grew even redder. This man... he was incorrigibly improper.

Hector and Sabrina were overjoyed, watching the easy, heartwarming interaction between the young couple. It was so natural, completely free of any forced affection. Their relationship seemed genuinely strong, which put the old couple's minds at ease.

The only one who seemed out of place was Quinton. He was forced to watch, unable to join the conversation. His presence was a formality, a required part of the family gathering, but it didn't mean he could blend in. Even if he were her real brother, there was nothing for him to say at this moment, let alone being what he was. He had never seen Henrietta act this way, nor had he ever seen this side of Yosef. Both were known for their cool composure, always so self-possessed and distant before they were together. Even at home, Henrietta was proper and reserved, always maintaining a perfect, polite distance. And Yosef? Quinton had only ever seen him in a professional capacity—strictly business, no wasted words, no emotional fluctuations. He never imagined that two people with such similar temperaments could create such a warm and harmonious atmosphere together. He had always assumed a reserved person needed a fiery partner to find balance. Now, it seemed he was wrong.

They finished the orange together, and Sabrina told Henrietta to take Yosef to wash his hands. The two left together.

Quinton turned to a nearby maid. "Could you check how much longer until lunch is ready?"

"Are you hungry?" Sabrina asked him.

Quinton managed a wry smile. "No, Mother. I was just worried our guest might be."

Sabrina laughed. "What guest? He's your brother-in-law. He's family now."

The words were perfectly innocent, but to Quinton, they felt like a needle prick. Still, he just nodded. "Right."
