When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 324

The doctor had also said the surgery was a success. Given the patient's youth and strength, moving him to the ICU for observation was standard procedure, and while crucial, the doctor didn't anticipate any major problems.

Winona mumbled a drowsy, "Okay, got it," and hung up.

HENRIETTA and Charlotte slept through the call.

The next day, Henrietta and Winona went to the office. Charlotte took some time off—for a week or two, at least. Since she was her own boss, her schedule was flexible.

Winona, however, had to deal with the aftermath of the incident, which included running damage control for the employees who had witnessed the incident at the wrap party and enforcing a strict gag order. After that, she had to ensure the company's operations continued to run smoothly.

On top of that, the commercial contracts for Artina and Matteo had already been signed. If not for the attack, they would have started working today. Their schedules were completely booked. Now... everything had to be postponed and rearranged. Winona was absolutely swamped.

HENRIETTA had to review the new work proposals, but she was less busy than Winona and had some downtime.

A call came in from Leon, informing them that Matteo was officially out of danger and had been transferred to a regular ward. The crisis had been averted.

When Winona reported the news to Henrietta, she stared into space for a moment before saying, "So... he didn't die after all."

Winona couldn't help but chuckle. "Are you happy or disappointed?"

"A bit of both," Henrietta admitted. "Since he's alive... we'll proceed with the original plan."

Winona nodded. "Understood."
